You’ve made a quality of change that is no quality of life. It’s now a pain in the arse to try and dye stuff. I’m fine with using the dyers bench to make dyes. But don’t punish us but making it so damn cumbersome to dye stuff.
This is a negative impact to the enjoyment of the game.
Please restore the previous functionality. This is a cumbersome and unnecessary punishment to players.
It is really an ethalon of improved quality of life - when one has to temporarily build and then immediatelly demolish that clumsy huge bench over and over, just when he wants to dye one piece of armor.
The big problem whit the new system is that you cant put in all armor parts in the bench so you can copare whit the other parts as you was when you had it on you or a thrall and also the store space is far to small to fit most collor and other materials. Yes block it so you only can store relevant material and products in it.
Yea started a new Siptah play through some time back and was ending up with heaps of different dyes really early on. Dyes are now useless until you reach lvl 24 and learn dyes and place a bench.
If they did it because of the new UI, they should at least give us a smaller dye bench option (NOT in the bazaar) and let us put more than one armor piece in there good lord.
The dyer bench is yet another “feature” in Chapter 4 the Good Idea Fairy sprinkled their lack of any gaming comprehension pixie dust all over… (See removal of Precise Splitting and Toggle Sprint) Thankfully those last 2 were reverted …makes you wonder how much time and energy was wasted in these features then putting them back in instead of fixing stuff like; falling through the floor, thralls being rather timid in combat, and the most recent fun addition of thralls taking fall damage…Squash the fairy or find a job for them elsewhere so they can ruin fun there…they are not helping your stockholders bottom line currently.
FC went for realism on this matter is all.
It would be ridiculous one can dye something with their bare hands.
And to be fair, the dyebench is quite small compared with a dyehouse in real life.
I don’t have a problem with this change.
While it might seem this way to us ‘lay-people’ - see this post from a professional who hand dyes a lot of textiles and suggests there is no need for anything close to this size -
The functionality is absolutely horrible. You really want to talk about realism? Sorcery? Hello? What’s real about that? Oh and I can carry infinite items on me if I spec on a certain trait? And I can roll and fight with 20,000 hardened brick and 30k stone etc in my inventory? Realism? Oh and I can fall from a decent height and only lose half my health that I can recover in 15 seconds with out breaking my nec or at least my legs? The argument of realism in this game is so laughable
Main problem is not having to do it, it is having to do it for nothing.
If the dyes were to be used in the bench, but the bench has a model in which you could dye armor on models of both genders, and you could see on that model (like the Mannequin placeable) how the armor would look, then props for “realism” and “usefulness”.
As it is, it was added a contrivance for no reason at all.
