/emote Command doesn't work for 2-word emotes

So I got a fancy new keyboard this week, and since it has lots of extra function keys, I thought it would be cool to bind some of the emotes I use the most to them using the /emote command. While this works fine for 1-word emotes like Point or Wave, I cannot get it to work for any of the 2-word emotes like Aquilonian Dance, Bear Hug, Pray Sitting, etc.

I’ve tried virtually every way of entering the two-word emotes that I can think of, and even looked up the LearnEmote admin commands to see what they were called in those. Yet even when using those they fail to trigger, the game simply tells me Emote was not found:

What’s the proper syntax for entering the 2-word emotes?

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Lookup the names of the emotes https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1131594537
  2. Presume that the same name to learn them is the same one used to invoke them
  3. Attempt to use those emotes via the /emote command from the chat box in every permutation you can think of
  4. Get irate enough that you file a bug report after 1pm on a Friday night
