Enemies at Al Merayah have a <1 Minute respawn time

Nope, it is not an illusion brother :hugs:.
After i got defeated and lost both thralls i started speaking on the psn chat with @jmk1999 . I released my steam from frustration with John and i wear my light dragon bone, build full agility, full vitality, 15 grit, 5 expertise , Tulwar shield and 20 jars with materials to make them bombs. I didn’t knew that i will find more bombs inside. I haven’t watched so far any hint or video, i wanted to explore it my self.
So i scout carefully the build and i saw the sloped walls, i understand at once the weakness of anticlimbing. I started killing outside the walls in the perimeter and i finally find a way to jump in and save my self some jars. I didn’t made it to the first jump, but because i was scared and clumsy. So i jumped again after clearing a little more agro and i am in without breaking the first entrance. I wasn’t afraid to die, i was alone and i could retrieve my body with sorcery anyway.
In there the agro was massive so i climb to the first sloped roof i find, down the npcs were many, so there was only up . For some reason the archers were extremely goofy, so i took the chance and climb to the sloped walls and there i am on the walls between 2nd gate and third. I scout a bit, prepare 4 jars and i jump down. I start killing, and running to the gate to place a jar, light it and escape again. The carts seemed a good place to go up, heal and take a breath. They had bombs inside, so i knew that in the second round i will use these, o won’t spend my own.
Million times said, this game has a pvp that favors the naked bombers, so here i am, not naked, but flexible as a naked one, to go place a bomb, ignite it and go back to the cart and repeat. After a few minutes the gate will break, so now i had to fight and clean this area before i proceed to the inside. Tulwar is a freaking beast, and hammers and great swords break on shields helplessly. They died swift so there i am inside and a small mini with a small group awaits ti die, so they did. As i am inside i look back and i see no other npc coming anymore. So i place a jar in a door and poof, i am on the first floor. The same wave waits there to die and they did as well. Another jar and poof i am on top floor. The boss with 2 only now, bliss. Mission completed the horn sounds, victory. I start loot and i go over encumbered. I didn’t care, if i die i summon my body and gain my loot, no big deal, so now i walk like a turtle and start breaking doors with my jars to look around. Nothing important, let’s go out the main building. There 2 guys waited for me, i raze my shield block and lights, block and lights take them down. So i started wondering around for about five minutes, going in rooms that i didn’t in the beginning. The spawns i was killing, were obviously spawns, not existed patrols. Finally i get in to a room that gives the battering ram. I grab this too, i go out new spawns. I kill these too but now i made my full round, i had nothing to see more and no intention to break the first two gates i didn’t break to enter, so i remove bracelet and summoned my body in my house. I empty my self, feel happy for the revenge i took, i buff my self and now i take a Musashi too.
Since i lost two thralls and the one was Marcos the Berserker , i had to train a new one. Hopefully this Marcos had you hair style, so i said, everything happens for a reason after all. I left Marcos to a fellow camp on another player that had 10 Berserkers full silent legion there, he was safe in this spot.
So i repeat the situation, way easier now and faster. I didn’t loot everything because i wanted to go back to Marcos. When i killed the boss it said, Your follower gained a lvl. On the way back i was whining, omg i was killing 10 minutes and my thrall just took a couple lvls. What a great surprise to return and see him lvl 20 .
My greatest disappointment became joy and for a minute i felt rewarded that i didn’t give up on it, or for my pvp experience. But after i think of it a bit, i went mad again. Because here we are again, praising pvp on pve servers and efforts. A couple days later i will read a comment of Dennis in here that was saying something like he respects pvp players more than pve…
And i said…
No sh.t, really? I couldn’t tell!

I really should try to get used to sword and board again - it’s not a move set I really enjoy, so I tend not to use it - but it’s always good to work on all weapons, even the ones that aren’t favourites

I spent far too many hours carefully building on the Weeping Ruins (the old broken building near the siege) and trying to get all the walls lined up with the rubble. All just so my followers would have a nice place to wait  But I don’t use it for levelling them, just put them on guard there. (Last time I tried that trick, my pet rabbit Harvey teleported to me in the middle of a fight and things suddenly got a lot more complicated trying to protect him, lol - I did manage to get us out of there, but it was quite the adventure getting him home again :grinning: ).

Sorcery would be a good way to deal with getting home, but I don’t use it. I wanted sorcery added for the people that always wanted it, but it never interested me (I quite like the way they have implemented it, but I’m a barbarian…).

I might have to try it that way  - I’ve done the breaking the back wall trick - worked ok once, second time I guess I got lag or something - the wall went down and immediately all three guys were in the gap and hit me before I could get the ram away (I spent a lot of time running in circles trying to get the fight back under control - I also didn’t have a sheild, lol.)

Overall, I thought the seige was a nice idea, but definitely more for people who want PVP style play (obviously, it’s not the same as PVP, but, at least solo, it seems to be based around the same skills).

You will be no less barbarian if you train thralls while wearing the Abyssal armor .
I do 20 agil,10 vit, 10grit 20 authority war party while wearing Abyssal armor and wielding agility weapons.

Right now i do a session with 2h axe only.
It was far from being my favorite…
Now i blame my self for this prejudice, what a weapon!!!
Swords right now are the best one handed, you’ll see.

Hum… it might be like you say or I just didn’t stay long enough for them to respawn. I didn’t stay for five minutes, I believe.
That idea of looting all you can loot and remove your bracelet didn’t occur to me. I was trying to do it without dying, so naturally it slipped my mind. I’ve seen you do it enough times to remember it, but I didn’t even think of that. On my way out I had to fight all those that had respawned before I killed the king. It was quite the mob. I could have just legged it, but I only stopped when there was nobody else alive. I took my time looking for the musashi, and they didn’t seem to respawn, but maybe if I stayed longer…
Anyway, I will repeat it, but I started a new playthough, so it will take a while. Next time I will try to check what happens more carefully and we will see. Do you want me to go on full beast mode, or do you prefer to see me doing it like an assassin? Btw, I tried to record a clip, but probably the overload was so big that the only thing I had was a clip right before going into the king’s room. Other than that, I only had snapshots. I have no idea if I will be able to make it, but I will try to record the whole thing and then I’ll post it so you can analyze it and give me your pointers. I understood how you made it. Very clever. I f I go through the assassination route, the description you gave us above will be very usefull. @stelagel , why a camel and not a horse? Are they still getting into fights?

That’s where I placed the tower to bomb the castle, but it was just a pile of sanstone foundations.
It was quite the drill until I finally found a spot where I could bomb all three gates. Then I spent more than an hour throwing stuff at the castle! There is a cliff to the East where you could build a trebuchet to easily bomb the 3rd inner gate, but it’s not allowed to build there.

Yeah, but their move set is bugged because of the attack changes. You can’t use a second HA once you closed the gap between you and the fighter, because you’ll hit thin air. You need to use HA, LA (and then it’s optional).
That second HA was extremely usefull as it is a non AoE attack. After that you repositioned and didn’t need to invest in a full combo unless you wanted AoE dmg (both LA and HA do AoE dmg on the 3rd and 4th movements of a combo).
This needs fixing asap.
