Please consider to rework it and bring it back, thank you!
I also think it’s a shame that content is being taken away from us. But in this case, I think it’s unfortunately justified. There have been repeated problems near the fortress. But I hope that in a later update, we’ll get several smaller locations worthy of siege. Like on Siptah!
…and built with the Pyramid set. They can add additional pieces and sell it in the bazaar also.
If old mate boss can wear bazaar armour, surely they can rebuild a smaller base in a bazaar building set.
Gone will be the days when our halls were lined with Musashi’s blades.
That’s about all I’ll miss.
Hope if they rework it they bring it back in a empty party of map or maybe outside of green wall since it lag so much and hope they add more bosses , cages with prisoners in the underground basement , add siptah recipes in exiles and dimish the number of npcs.
That medieval castle / fortress … is just plain out of place and in the wrong time frame.
I miss my morning sunrise on the savannah…
it use to be so peaceful.
Agree, wish they would bring back a bit more ‘Barbarian’ feel, more mud and brick and wattle and daub and rock walls/fences and simple cloth and hide for tents and such.
Seems to me we have plenty of expertly hewn stone and exquisite masonry, not that I mind those, just wish there were a tad more simplistic building sets for huts and hovels and cottages and such.
Don’t need all that fancy marble and polished stone or exotic woods, just give me the simple life.
Hyborian age doesn’t give a crap about real history timeframe, the Hyborian lands are a mix of all kinds of old ages, medieval, stone age, bronze age, you name it.
That isn’t how Conan lore works. An overarching theme of the universe is a continuous cycle of the rise of civilization and its eventual destruction.
During the Hyborian Age, they had medieval-level development. When the Ice Age came, civilization was destroyed and everything started over again, continuing the cycle.
What makes you say that?
Food Replicators that can create entire feasts in minutes are ancient technology in the Hyborian Age. You know, the things people eat from in Star Trek? Probably inspired by REH’s mention of them in the relevant story.
Question to dev or community lurkers.
Will this removal also be on Siptah as well?
Easier to remove it than to fix it I suppose, eh.
Well, I won’t miss it but they could have done something with it.
Also, when you hit someone with a sword across the chest, they usually die in one hit.
Realism doesnt exist in games
They ought to set up a persistent purge camp.
Still wounder why it caused issues when I’ve seen player builds 3X that size not cause issues.
Maybe they should have placed the castle in a tiny map extension. A non-buildable area attached to a typically less crowded part of the map, with nothing else going on besides the al-Merayah stuff.
So, maybe don’t fix it, don’t remove it but displace it?
The producers and devs are out of touch with the community.
I assure you, no matter how much you personally pound a medieval sword in the chest in a medieval knight in armor, you would not cause him the slightest harm.
I have this barge and need to haul a ton of lead. Does not matter where I put that ton of lead it is still going to weight a ton.
I doesn’t matter where they put the Stygian keep it is still going to drag the server down when rendered and active.
Well then, let us not forget Atlantis and Lemuria.
Leave it dead (to quote PvE players when I previously asked for them to bring back spear)
For real though The PvE castle is a major performance hog and I don’t think it should return at all unless it’s perfect in it’s implementation.
