Entertainers will unequip weapons and attempt to fight with their fists. I’ve tried various weapon/shield combinations and they always switch to unarmed after a time. I thought it might be one of their dances that makes them do this, still testing that and haven’t identified one that could be the source of this bug.
I figured out the problem; whenever I knock them off their feet with a power shieldsmash, they stop using their weapons, and won’t re-equip them until I shut down and restart the game. I’ve never seen this happen with the other follower classes.
EDIT: Actually it appears any of my mace effects can trigger this bug. The fact that any of my weapon effects work against my follower is another bug; their attacks don’t affect me, and my attacks with other weapons don’t affect them. Why would my mace/shield combo smack them around and break their defense?
