Anyone else logging on to a server and finding themselves under their base? As in, you’ve fallen through all floors? I’m playing on an official server, and my thralls and I are constantly falling through floors to the bottom of the base. Sometimes my thralls end up inside foundations. Other players on my server have reported mobs falling through floors as well.
It’s a server performance issue. Officials run bad.
This happens in single player too, more and more often the surface of the foundations does not support thralls. Moreover, surfaces closer to edges and stairs are usually unstable. A very old problem.
I’ve submitted a bug report regarding the following. Upon log in I “fall” through the base or terrain, you can hear the audio your character makes and you see the floors or terrain pass you by. Then you’re at the bottom of the base, under foundations or under the terrain. Sometimes it rights itself immediately and sometimes you stay there for a bit. When you stay there you can’t interact with anything even if you do have access to benches, elevators, etc.,…
I’ve also been noticing the thrall/pet issue too, logging in to see a horse in the foundation with its head poking out. If I leave them and log in again later/next day they might be where they’re supposed to.
Additionally I was raiding a base the other night and while standing on a foundation suddenly me and clan mate dropped, strange animation, and were INSIDE this small bit of opening between terrain and their foundations. We were trapped and couldn’t understand what happened.
It happened everyday for me. It still happens, like there was an attempt to render the floor in a certain amount of time, but lagged out. Or, like there is multiple world simulations starting at the same time.
Yup. My base is over water I’m always in the water. I use fence foundations instead of regular foundations, so I typically just swim up and climb. It’ll fix itself once I climb up.
