Fastest method to pull 400 hardened brick from stack of 1000 (Chapter 4) - Tutorial

Hello Exiles!

Recently a neighbor asked me if I could supply them with enough hardened brick to upgrade their Set Shrine to the highest tier. “Certainly, fellow Setite neighbor!” I answered!

I went to my chest, that was all mucked up by the Chapter 4 patch release, and pulled out a stack of hardened brick. As a devoted Setite myself, I know that my neighbor will need 400 hardened brick for the job. Hardened brick is a pretty valuable commodity, so I don’t want to give my neighbor the entire stack. Especially since I have my own building plans! So:

It was at this point that I was SO FRUSTRATED that I could not separate exactly 400 hardened brick, and I decided I didn’t like my neighbor. So instead I killed him and then went and bombed his lousy Tier 2 Set Shrine. Being a barbarian isn’t an exact science, right?

Funcom - PLEASE - revert this terrible change right fvcking now. :rage:

Try to do this with stack mods of 10 000 bricks… this update is more about example how to ruin mods and game itself :smiley:

stuff works fine, no need to touch it with stinky claws , while could just fix bugs… :smiley:

You could still divide by 1 and break it off 6 bricks to have 400 :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:. this is ridiculous !!!

Skill issue.
Split it until you’ve got 400 stacks of 1 brick then put them all together. :clown_face:

This has to be the dumbest thing they removed… I need 2 crimson flowers for a potion and have a stack of 500… WTF are you smoking with this update funcom?

Their politics, their ideological beliefs, and their recreational activities have nothing to do with any of this. Taking out a fundamental and useful feature is a BAD CHANGE.

I know some liberal potheads. And those liberal potheads would not do anything as stupid as pulling out foundational inventory management features. These are straight up, isolated, disconnected developers that refuse to review feedback from the people who actually play their game. :rage:

I like Your very essential answer supported with screenshoot. Chapter 4 entertains and teaches users math. You must split enough times, stack small pack enough times and then split again to get wanted number.
Now to get proper number of items from stack will look like this:

If you’re not trolling here then… you are just intentionally speaking jibberish. There are far better things for even them to focus on. This was a lack of foresight from the developers and a lack of proper control of the development pipeline. Serveral new ideas have come from this update, just few implemented fully and correctly.

So you took more time to do this than mine the 500 stone to offset the 100 extra hardened brick from your single split of the full stack?

While sure you can discuss that you need to do a specific and precise inventory reduction and they have agreed and will give you the option in the coming hotfixes, look at the time your OCD wasted from your playing by doing this. Give them 500, take the 1.5 minutes to mine the 500 stone and throw it in your furnace for conversion to the hardened brick. You are out an extra 500 stone and 100 consolidate beyond what you were going to give. That is what? A total of 5 minutes of extra time on your end. I bet you took at least 10 to do this breakdown.
