Ive had a few buggy situation where fatality is triggered, but something, my thralls or enemies, push me off before the animation can be performed, and my character gets stuck for a godawfully long time. They should make it so its interrupted easier, seeing as its hardly an essential thing to happen in combat.
Please, let us opt out on an individual basis. I know some people like them, but I go out of my way to avoid doing it.
@Pugilist Now playing in AoH, I see EXACTLY what you are referring to. OMG itâs completely different triggering of fatalities. Trying to broad swing the entire mob and get stuck in a fatality move that sure makes me immune to attack but kills my momentum completely. They need to revert this back to the way it wasâŠa fun little bonus that you can trigger after the chaos of direct combat. Itâs now killing the fun of the combat.
I gave it a couple days to understand the reason.
So i did and i already understand the mistake as well.
They wanted to make fatality more connected to the fight, to seem like a combo attack.
They forgot however that the âready for fatalityâ stop but the others keep moving pushing back your immune character away from the fatality render distance, creating a huge collision and making fight exactly as you said brother⊠BS!!!
@den please! The weapon combos and the battle flow was the best thing by far.
Please do something.
Hmmm if that is the case, which is very probable, then the solution is easy. Speed up the fatality to like half a second max. That shouldnât affect combat much and will look more fluid. Also the fatalities are quite slow as is so anything to speed the up regardless is a win but if they want it to be part of combatâŠit needs to be quick.
Also make it the end of a full combo. If you enemy is at the fatality mark after a full combo, then it activates regardless. That gives us some better control over it and is cherry on top for getting the full combo hitting.
As I said before - make a separate key to trigger fatality + speed up animation significantly.
I always tell them how it is in other games and finish up ignored.
Once I lived in times when games were made by actual gamers not accountants and random devs from advertisement.
I donât believe they want to listen any solution brother. I am pretty confident they already have some decades alternatives.
All they need is our feedback, if we like it and how we feel about this change.
The bad part here is that the dogs thatâs barking for this issue are not enough. They wonât change a mechanic just because a handful of players donât like it.
I cannot understand why we are so less?
@Pugilist next time put the word âdeadâ, maybe it will have more visits .
Fatalities are not something you should do in the middle of battle, it is something you would do to the last man standing.
Fatalities should only become available when you are no longer being aggroed by anything, then to balance it out, make the fatality buff duration longer.
I mean, theoretically i could see a fatality being performed in the heat of battle as a great demoralizing act to any other combatants nearby, but i honestly canât see something capturing that feeling being implemented appropriately both combat-wise and visually. Thereâs a cowering animation in game (Darkness spell causes it) but thereâs no real effect to it i think.
Well thankyou kindly @jabram89, and I like the cut of yours in return. I am a metalhead so âbrutalâ comes naturally for me. Much like gore and gratuitous sadism when it comes to games. There has been too much planting lavendar bushes and dressing thralls in finest raiment around here, and not nearly enough tearing heads off with bone claws. Time to set things right. I am one of the forums largest proponents for more gore and brutality, and have already already made numerous suggestions requesting more such additions. In fact should one enter âmore gore and brutalityâ into the forumâs search feature you will see my name spring up a whole a plethora of times.
I want thralls chained to boulders and in manacles, putrified flesh covered human heads impaled on spikes, more placeable torture devices such as the throne of agony & iron maiden and stretching rack we can place them in, crosses to place them on, taskmasters to whip slaves on the wheel of pain, human hide rugs, cups made out of our enemies skulls, placeable hearts, furniture made from blackened bones, rows of heads on spikes, a Dafari on a rotissery, black fountains which spray blood and pools of blood for us to bathe in Elizabeth Bathory style.
Fatalities are one of the few discernible implementations of that. Therefore I really do not wish to see them removed entirely. And I would acknowledge that fatalities are now a god awful mess since the start of the Age of Heros, and in dire need of fixing. Because as they function now, I can see why members are currently raising opposition to them. I have genwrated a bug reportwhich is also comprised of a suggestion for change. Hope they heed it.
Player options are always the way to go. That way it doesnt effect those who want the gore/fatalities. Personally, Id like a toggle for all gore (since it got more ridiculous) similar to what we already have for Nudity. I was told by them that they were looking into that, that it was on their radar to implement.
Plus, yes, the animations get in the way of combat flow. Someone did make a good suggestion saying it would be good to also have it where you have to pull Heavy and Light attack together to execute. Could help.
