Game mode: [Online official]
Type of issue: [Bug]
Server type: PvP | PvE-Conflict]
Yesterday, at about 19:00 Moscow time, servers 6054 PVP and 6056 PVE-C startd to have ping more than 230ms. Most of other official servers were fine. I checked Game.ini file, it says both of those servers are on the same IP-address 188.8.131.52. They both were marked as favorite. I logged in to another server 10xx PVP (don’t remember exactly its name), it got marked “favorite”, but its ping didn’t change after relogging to the game.
Today I unchecked those two 60xx servers as favorites, relogged to the game, found them by name, and their ping was 47ms. I was able to log in to 6054 with no problem. But when i checked 6054 as favorite, I went to main menu (staying in game), clicked “online”, and 6054 (marked as favorite) had ping 239ms. Unchecking it again made ping 45 ms.
My guess is: game is trying to ping servers “all at once” - favorites (at least those two 6054/6056) and all the others at the same time. So it kind of slowing down connection. But if you don’t have those two favorited, they are pinged according to some kind of queue.
Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
- Play on official 6054 PVP or 6056 PVE-C for some time, it needs to become marked “Favorite” on your server list.
- Receive ingame (server list menu) ping to those servers about 239ms, from Saint-Petersburg, Russia.
- Mark those servers as “Unwanted” (not favorite).
- Rejoice ping <50 !
