Feedback about the new aim feature

My only feedback is why put in something you’ve considered an aim glitch before and tried to work against? It’s not like it again adds anything to the game.

It just feels clumsily executed. When I also know that you received feedback on a LOT of other things, and almost none of that we see in these “Age of war” patches.

Then I and many others do not understand what was the problem with previous aim systems?
It has worked well as long as it has been there. And it should have been known for a long time, don’t fix things that aren’t broken.

If the idea is for the game to live on, I have a hard time believing that losing more “core” players won’t do you any good.

Yes, probably got a bit more opinions than intended.

Since we’re offering feedback, the new “aim” system is GREAT! It may not have been requested, but It feels more natural, makes the enemies more dangerous and it should’ve been this way all along.

I definitely don’t agree with all the changes you guys make, but this one feels fantastic. Thank you for a move in the right direction Funcom.

how does it make enemies more dangerous?

Enemies are more likely to hit you, in case you weren’t aware, the AI benefits from this “aim” system as well.

Yeah it’s wonky but I don’t doubt I will get used to it and tear it up. NPCs are a lot more fun now. It’s been a while that I had to pop a health potion

Doubt that would change now tho. Since they still have the same pattern. And the stam system that let’s you dodge almost infinite wont make it harder.

For fight against real players it’s wonky a f. Because d sync and other issues within the game.

You see - a lot of players were complaining about being hit, when they were clearly out of reach - this is common occurrence because of server lag. So Funcom implemented buit-in aim assist - and now tell anyone complaining - “bro, you don’t understand, NPC/player just changed hit attack direction mid fight! Isn’t that cool?!! Btw, buy more crom coinz, see ya, bb”

Pretty much. They do all to make game easier for ppl. Wich is lame and boring af. They rather lose people than add people to it. Sure they maybe boost player base for a short period of time. But the players that been with them for years I think is pretty tired of this.

Its cool. I like new turning aim.
I dont like, that when eclipse came in chapter 3 sorcery, they removed night in admin panel.
Now no more eclipse. But night option never returned…

After a little experimenting, the new aim feature doesn’t feel like it has a major impact.

I guess it may be different for PvP with target locking enabled.

Target lock should be gone against players aswell. I feel it ( both target lock and this new change) makes the game more unexactable wich could be a good thing but in this case is not. People should not be able to turn in the middle of an animation. Same as people thought you would not be able to unequip your weapon middle of an animation.

But ye will see what happens. It’s not like they have impressed the with the PVP lately or even put any effort in making it good except making it easier wich this also does for newer players.

For players not much, I agree; but it feels like some NPCs benefit from it though :notlikethis:

That’s true. One needs to be more careful against hard-hitting humanoid opponents such as Grey One minibosses or the Judge. Probably Arena Champion too, but I haven’t tried to fight her after the update.
