Follower commands not registering while blocking with shield + holding Bow shot

Not sure if bug or oversight, but it appears that when your shield is up, ie when you are blocking, thrall commands do not work. Could anyone confirm on their side too?

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Equip shield, have a follower following you
  2. Hold block button, attempt to command thrall using E while blocking (default pc) Command does not register
  3. Stop blocking with shield, issue command, command should then register

Can anyone confirm?

Picked up with bow too:

  1. Equip a bow, have a follower following you
  2. Hold power shot button & attempt to command thrall using E (default pc) Command does not register
  3. Release power shot, or fire arrow, issue command, command should then register
