The one we have now would be the T3
Dennis did say the pillows would be fixed so you’re able to sit on them, and they should work for Tavern patrons, so I assume the move to decorative was temporary, though optically quite terrible.
That fix was targetted for Chapter 4, though there’s no way to test it on the beta client, as you can’t spawn Bazaar assets in. I imagine a lot of people will immediately test it out when the update launches to the live game
If I was king…
It’s the way I’d set it up.
T1 cauldron and a rack to dry. Only works for dying.
T2 cauldron and stone vat, 2 drying racks. Dyes and paints.
T3 2 cauldrons, 2 stone vats, 3 drying racks and a chair. Dyes, paints, and tattoos.
But each could handle a full armor set to dye rather the one peace at a time. I get that it’s not very RP to dye worn armor, but lets no make the operation 5X more complex for no reason.
Most of us only want the best option. I’d rather a single version and smaller. That’s all. As I said, give them options and we’ll end up with nothing good.
So, after interacting with the new Dyeing bench mechanic I have come to the conclusion that I will need two dyeing benches. One to make dyes and one to dye one item at a time, unless I want to do constant inventory management within a single dyeing bench.
Luckily, the dyeing bench to make dyes went from the 1 tile firebowl cauldron to a 1X3 monstrosity that can’t be placed directly against a wall, so, larger bases will be required
Plus, I love, love, love, the dynamic that doesn’t let you shift click an item into or out of the single dye slot almost as much as I love that moving the item to inventory will swap out another item UNLESS you move it to an empty inventory slot.
Next, can we add a new 2X6 bench for making each color selection of dye?
That’d be awesome.
It looks like they are scheduling a fix that will be released on 4/2.
[ * Yamatai Floor Pillow is now a proper seat you can interact with! This also means they are now valid spots for tavern patrons and followers to sit.]
Was on testlive for a bit yesterday; still haven’t tested the new content. And even though they changed how we dye clothes and armor, we still have the old janky bad UVmapping so items are hard to dye or dye differently then show. As in the tavern/inn keeper shirt has opposite zones vest/shirt. What you see when dying is not what you get.
More over the dying preview is quite bad and not really representative of the worn item. Often colors are different, or the preview show colors blending or feathering that aren’t.
If you’re going to redo the dying table why no fix ACTUAL issues with dying?
