There are two building bugs I came across in singleplayer and online.
The first one is that i could not place my foundation even tough it should be possible. I kept on building and tryed placing my foundation again every time a came across it and after a while could place it.
Second bug is not being able to place my foundation because it says that the space is occupied even tough its not. After looking away in the distance i could place it.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Try making a big square floor of foundations untill you get the bug.
  2. Try making a wall of foundations untill you get the bug

I have a possible workaround, with the understanding that this is a bug that many players have reported and needs to be corrected. Destroy a foundation adjacent to the offending location. After waiting a few seconds, rebuild the destroyed foundation and you then should be able to build in that spot. This works most reliably when the foundation directly beneath the offending location is the one you destroy. Obviously this is a waste of time and resources that should not be necessary, but it is a possible workaround for the time between now and when the bug is…eventually…corrected.
