I have a new dedicated server setup and was working fine. After creating a few new characters, time seemed to stop, stuck at night. I noticed the freeze time checkbox in the cheat panel was checked. I unchecked it, and went back in and saw it was checked again. I tried unchecking it, making myself normal, logging, restarting the server, anything I can think of including wiping the world and creating a new one. There is not much online about it or on these forums. What could the issue be?
Are you the only one with admin access?
In every instance I’ve ran into this problem, I ask fellow admins if they were building something between this time and that time (when it appeared to recheck itself). They usually say yes. Then I ask if they messed with the time setting and they say yes but that they ‘thought’ they unchecked it after they were done.
They never remember to uncheck it when they are done. 
I’m thinking a stungun is an appropriate solution.
Lol. Yes I am the only one. No one has even started playing yet on the server.
** Edit I just redid the entire server from scratch, used no files from the previous server and still the game starts at the same exact time at night and the freeze sky option is checked. I am using the same mods I used for my pre-3.0 server except for a few. This is very frustrating.
Is the option Use Catchup Time being used? I don’t know if that affects it, but you never know.
I tried turning catchup time on and off but that made no difference. Oddly, I have not been able to get a straight answer on the AOC discord and on Pippi discord, it was mentioned that it is supposed to be that way but videos on YouTube showing starting out in AOC for Conan 3.0, its daytime on the starter beach so I am confused.
I did admin port to a location on the main map and it was day and time was moving so it seems to be isolated to the AOC starting beach area. None of the day/night tools in the cheat panel seem to work in that area, not just the freeze sky option.
Ooh ok I see what’s going on, or at least I think. Yeah some areas can sort of lock to a set time like I think the Jhebbal Sag grove does. I never thought it locked the admin tool in the are though. So it looks like the AoC Faction Hall or whatever they use nowadays (been a minute since I used AoC), does the same.
Yeah see if you can teleport over to the newbie river and see if day/night functions normally there, assuming you haven’t already.
I did and it does. Again, just not sure if the locked at nighttime is an intended function of AOC when you start on the AOC beach starting area (prior to the Faction Hall) as I mentioned there are videos on YouTube and its daytime…
Depends on how old those videos are. I haven’t played with AoC in a while, heck last time I played it, there was a Faction Hall near the Dregs, but we still started in the desert.
