My clan was banned for the first time two months ago, meanwhile, we play with new accounts to pass the time, what’s the surprise? When we weren’t online, my friend’s banned character killed his new character and stole his stuff. How can this be possible if our main accounts were banned?
PS: I can’t upload a photo because I’m new here, I have proof
And @Narelle is right, Funcom couldn’t give 2 ■■■■■ about your characters.
Either someone had gained access to that specific account by guessing the password (so get your friend to change their password asap) for the previously suspended account or someone made a character with the same name.
That’s not really an insurmountable obstacle. For one thing, it’s pretty easy to get the status that allows you to post images. You just have to spend a short time on the forums, read a few different topics, that kind of thing. I don’t remember the exact requirements, but fortunately for you, the search feature works just fine even for new users.
If you don’t want to do any of that, another option is to post screenshots of your proof on a image-hosting site like Imgur, grab the link, split it up in parts that the forum software doesn’t interpret as links, and post those parts here for everyone to see. Then we can all assemble them into a functional link and go look at your proof.
Xbox screenshot, wait for your Xbox to finish processing it, then use the Xbox app on your phone, find the image and save it, then send it from your phone’s photos section
I will have more activity here and I will upload the photo, I don’t know what all of you are implying, I don’t have to lie, I took a screenshot of Xbox and no, it is not someone with a similar gamertag, it is the same gamertag as my friend
I think we would need something to compare it to if all the photo shows is somebody killed somebody. I mean, we don’t know the exact name of your friend’s account or character. So how would we know if it’s the same character named “Mikhail” for example instead of a different character named “M1kha1l” or “Mlkhali”?
If it’s a gamer tag, there’ll be either upper case letters or numbers to replicate it or a unique set of numbers after a hash key after the replicated gamer tag. Gamer tags on Xbox are unique.
I will leave the link of the screenshot so you can see it, “Los Aztecas” is my clan, Loveablenote is my friend, salmonhealer is his temporary account with which he played while he was banned, in the history you can see that “Loveablenote” (banned at that time) he killed salmonhealer.
I can see that “LovableNote5254” has taken a bunch of stuff, apparently without authorization, on September 1st. I can also see that “SalmonHealer540” has been killed on September 3rd, two days later. I don’t see anything saying that it was “LovableNote5254” who killed “SalmonHealer540”.
And in that screenshot we can see that “LovableNote5254” killed “SalmonHealer540”.
Now, I could go on and keep asking questions about all the relevant details that are still missing, but I’m not sure it’s productive to do so.
Ultimately, no player here on the forums will be able to prove or disprove anything about who did this. The only people who could investigate this work for Funcom.
I would suggest contacting them, probably via Zendesk. Here, on the forums, you won’t get anything beyond speculation.
Yes, you’re right, although it would surely be a waste of time, I was hoping that the same thing happened to someone and we could speculate further haha
Depends on the type of ban too. Communication ban on Xbox still lets you play multiplayer with other people. If their account is on multiple consoles that aren’t on the same network may factor into it too.
I’d wager that the supposedly banned player - or somebody with access to his account - was able to log in earlier than his clanmates and didn’t tell them.
