Funcom Stole My Money

I have played Conan Exiles for the better part of four years. I have put my blood, sweat, tears and hundreds of dollars into this game and yet I will never play it again. I have build an entire YouTube channel mostly around Conan and yet I will be deleting it after this post.
I purchased PlayStation cards for a total of $60 and tried to purchase Crom Coins only to have an error pop up and say my transaction went through but there was an error and my purchases were not put into my inventory. Now I had seen the posts about this and even had a friend that this happened to and his funds were returned the next day. These are some of the things I did to remedy the situation:

  1. close the game and reopen it
  2. shut down the entire PlayStation then load back in to the game
  3. restoring licenses
  4. checking for any and all updates and installing
  5. deleted the game and redownload it
After all of this still nothing. I filed a ticket with support when it happened and continued to send them another message every day after. It has been 10 days now.
I know I am not alone in this either, after a very quick search it is clear that this “bug” is more than that. Funcom is literally stealing from us. I bought the game, paid extra for Isle of Siptah, bought the DLC’s, spend money in the bazaar, I literally loved this game. I grew pride from building beautiful manors, castles and even entire villages. I was eager to get my PS5 and give the PS4 to my wife and have her play as well, not anymore though.
It is no longer about the $60 I lost, it’s no longer about how many hundreds of my hard earned dollars I have spent on this game, oh no. Now it is about far more, Funcom if you actually read this, you can keep my $60 you obviously needed it more than I did.
As for anyone reading this considering playing or just beginning or even veterans of the game, leave now
Funcom doesn’t care about you, you are just a number to them and nothing more.

Yet, you didn’t do the one and only thing that matters when there is an error with an ‘in-game purchase,’ and that is to open a ticket with the Zendesk.

Strange. Each time I had problems of this sort, FUNCOM solved it quickly.

Have you requested help througb the in game menu?
Here:

Then provide your email, choose purchase issues from the drop down list and submit.

First you receive an auto answer and usually the day after someone from customer support will contact you through email. Make proof of your purchase and they solve it.

And you didn’t do the one thing you should have which is read my entire post. I did write zendesk and continued to write them every day afterwards.

I did reach out to them, I immediately made a ticket when it happened, I even made a ticket online and replied to that email every single day. I even tried different emails I could find, anything to try and reach out to them. But it all fell on deaf ears apparently.

It must have fallen through the cracks of the system, because that’s not how they usually behave at all, @Slc . There was a time when the purchase of coins on PlayStation was a bit bugged and I had a few of those situations happening.
I always got my coins.
Did you do it like I suggested?
Let’s try to get some attention to your case.
@AndyB , could you offer some advice here, please?

I did everything suggested, I listed some of the things I did to try and remedy the issue but nothing worked. I even reached out to PlayStation in hopes maybe they could do anything (I was desperate at that point) only to be let down yet again. I’m considering switching to Xbox.

I’m not what you would consider a newby to the gaming community, or to Conan Exiles. I have tried every quick fix and remedy out there, nothing has worked.
After this encounter with Funcom I don’t ever care to play Conan again, which honestly kills me to say. They obviously needed that $60 more than I needed the game.

They are probably backlogged with people who keep sending them new tickets every single day instead of waiting for their first ticket to resolve.

They also don’t work weekends.

I understand your frustration, but surely there’s something that can still be done. It’s not ill will that is preventing your situation’s closure, but some weird informatics problem, I bet.

I recommend probably someone like @HighSaint @Caroll or @Sarealac instead. They’re part of customer support. I agree, it likely fell through the cracks. There’s been a number of fires they’ve been putting out as of late, so they have a backlog of reports for stuff I believe.

If you check this page, it has a list of everyone and their titles—as well as the last time they posted or looked at the forum: https://forums.funcom.com/g/moderators

I recommend tagging anyone who’s most recent or most frequent.

Greetings Exiles,

@Slc we regret that your situation hasn’t been solved yet. Could you share the number of the first ticket you sent?

We’ll ask the team over our Help center to follow up as soon as you share the number.

Thank you for reaching out.
Have a nice week!

It took over 2 weeks for me to get my coins. However, when a new season came (I think ot was age of war chapter 1), I found some extra coin in my account. I don’t know if that was intentional or a mistake, but it was a welcomed surprise. The problem was - the game got to such a terrible place from technical point of view that I stopped playing. So I still have thousands of crom couns in my account, but I can’t be asked to play and spend it.

This has happened to me three times in a row now. The fastest it has been resolved was five days. This issue should really take priority. I have used both the ps store and bought directly through the game. It happens witj either mode of purchase.
They still haven’t added the coins to my account from the last time however, they did send me an email to rate their customer service and ask if i was satisfied with the resolution! you haven’t resolved a damn thing!
