Functional world crafting benches…!
I truly think all of the crafting and cooking stations in the world should be functional. All the stations in npc camps and villages. This would bring a whole other element to pvp servers.
I actually REALLY like this idea for PvE as well. Obviously having your own bench would be superior because you can use a crafting thrall, but this would allow players to make repairs while away from their base, assuming they have the materials. It would also give players a safer place to trade items without having to drop them on the ground.
