Game fails to load

Bug Description:

Conan would not load. I deleted, cleaned out all game files and did a fresh download. Verified twice, restarted and game will not load. Play button lights up, but stops after about 3 seconds

Installed Mods:

mods are not currently installed, because I can’t get the game to load to install any

Steps to Reproduce:

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. Please be as detailed as possible; the more details, the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. turn on the PC/log into steam
  2. click on Library
  3. click on Conan-play
  4. failure to start

After clicking to play on Steam, Funcom launcher should pop up (or just start in the back), and you can start a game from there.

Hello @iiautumnii, welcome to the forums!

Could you try running the game from the steam directory?

It should be located here (replace the drive letter if needed):
C:\SteamGames\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Binaries\Win64
From there, launch the ConanSandboxBE application, that should bypass the launcher and launch Conan Exiles immediately.

If that doesn’t work, could you please post your system specs? Maybe there’s something on the hardware front causing trouble.
