Game is at bad state its actually ridiculous - Many bugs people make memes out of it

After more aggressive monetization approach (battle pass including FOMO and INSANE cash shop prices) i expected game developement would skyrocket - more content, more fixes etc.

Sad truth its getting even worse even after that ‘cash grab’ - there’s so much more new issues its actually riddiculous. People make memes out of game which is actually accurate.

You spent too much time on reddit

Some of those are not bugs FYI, the ones that are seem to be very elusive that can’t be reliably reproduced or only happen for a few people, not everyone, making the cause less evident.

But finding the recipe for bricks is only a problem because of this “youtube” gameplay people do to where they can’t be bothered to actually play the game and instead go and watch videos on stuff… see a bunch of brick buildings and then all of a sudden making bricks becomes an “urgent” thing, whereas people playing the game naturally tend to discover that easily on their own after spending a bit of time in the game.
Either way, the people who can’t wait and discover them can google it… there’s a wiki with all that stuff on it as well…

The point is, that isn’t a bug, that is fully intentional and it’s a design choice that they’re sticking to. It used to be way more difficult FYI… the cauldron didn’t have any recipes either, it was an auto-craft station requiring fuel and you had to throw things in to discover how to make things, including steelfire, stone consolidant, etc…

As for the last “broken wheel of pain”… that thrall is ready, the player simply didn’t realize because it’s a tanner that they tried placing in the world like a fighter :man_shrugging: they couldn’t so they put it back in the wheel thinking it’s not finished

Yet somehow vets like me manage to work around these “bugs” and still accomplish EVERYTHING at end game.

Reddit is one of the worst sources for info.

Havent gone there once for information.

I login game to find out.

Let’s leave reddit vitriol on reddit. Even Steam Discussions are more cerebral than reddit.

This is a survival crafting game and people think they need or should be told exactly how to make bricks?

Plus brick is easy. Wait until they need hardened steel.

Game is fine. People seem to think that the introduction of a shop was supposed to immediately fix all of the bugs and gripes. Doesn’t work that way.

F-ck-ng loved it…
Dude the video of getting destroyed by invisible Rocknoses in the Frozen North made me laugh

I only just hop in every once and a bit to catch the finer points that others like Xevyr, and CodeMage have to say for optimizing gameplay, things I have either missed or my own ingame biases or playstyle have made me blind to… but your video made my day.

You have to really love a thing to enjoy the absolute shitshow this game is from time to time. shadenfreude is where I live now. Lots of problems absolutely, but despite so many many low moments this game continues to be exceptional. When it works it is amazing, when it doesn’t…Bwahhahahah you can make amazing video clips. All the best brother. Exceptional Share!

Some of those “bugs” are what some Survival games consider features.
Having an obtuse and opaque crafting system will be remembered as a hallmark of this era’s Survival Games.
How to make bricks? Well, we find clay and then add dung and some reeds for good measure, mix, stomp, and then spread out, divide into rectangles, allow to cure, then add them to a somewhat specific oven/kiln (or arrange them around a specific fire and then cover in places with hot cinders) to harden them.

How do we make Bricks in this game?
LoL throw rocks in a smelter.

Wait until you try to bake bread.

But that’s how Survival Games were designed. A bunch of people who haven’t even watched a video of how things are made or how to survive in wilderness, possibly have never left urban areas in their living memory come up with Victorian Egyptology grade procedures for how stuff is made and then laugh if people don’t intuit the lolrandumb processes they assigned. This game is far from the worst offender in this regard. In fact… it has an almost moderate number of prompts in game.

As for the actual bugs…
Did you see the previous Season?
That was an infestation. This season is downright playable by comparison.

That said, if we are talking about monetization, it takes awhile for that to have an impact. Next Chapter (not Season) we may see what they have been spending money on, or it may be in a hypothetical third Chapter. Especially when another business controls the purse strings, these things can take time to be impactful.

Yeah invisible mobs, immortal dogs, thralls clipping through ground, lags are great features bro.

I don’t understand why people cope so much, whats the point? Just admit that game is broken mess and that monetization was just cash grab without anything back for that juicy money.

About that bricks - yeah that is actually minor, don’t know why it’s in the list but point still stands.

Or maybe it’s not coping?

I personally haven’t dealt with any of these bugs. So my experience is obviously different than those that have.

Except that pesky brick bug. I still have to figure out how to make those on my own. Every single time.

It is less minor or more minor than the player in the other thread not realizing their thrall is already complete and making a “bug report” about a “broken wheel of pain”? :man_shrugging:

or the “broken building” of a player making a base in a spot they’re not really supposed to so they’re running into a “backstage view” problem

The only real bugs on that list are the hyena not attacking, which has been around for years so fair enough on that one… I gather they didn’t prioritize it much since pets don’t seem to be a priority at all, but they probably thought you can always use other pets.

Also the one with bodies falling through the ground, which might have some engine issues behind it that might not be the easiest to fix, idk.

Both of these have been around for quite a while and might not be the easiest to pinpoint imo. though I haven’t looked into either.

The rest are very localized, which is the part that you seem to be missing… Just because a bug happened somewhere on some server for somebody and they made a recording of it, does not mean it’s the same across the board for everyone.

I had my zombies turn invisible right after 3.0, but that wasn’t isolated, it was happening for pretty much everyone and they actually fixed it not long after… Haven’t had it happen since… That’s the only invisible bug I encountered… never had a boss or avalanche or literally anything be invisible.
And for me personally the game runs quite smooth… sure, there is definitely room for improvement, but it’s completely playable from every point of view

Okay so you didn’t experience bugs - it means they don’t exist right?

Again about brisk i said i know it’s minor problem, shouldn’t be on list yet you couldn’t resist to add pointless taunt right? It usually happens when someone doesn’t have any argument…

Two of your examples aren’t bugs, just people not understanding what they’re doing. I guess that’s par for the course though if you’re trying to pull anything meaningful to say out of reddit.

You should probably remove these bad examples because they make me not want to take the rest of what you say seriously either

I’m pretty sure he posted this exact post word for word in the R/conanexiles sub as well

I never said bugs didn’t exist. I said I haven’t experienced those particular bugs, because you decided to suggest people are “coping”.

Which isn’t the case, as most of us here genuinely enjoy the game, bugs and all. I don’t need any argument. The game has bugs, as most games do, and I still love the game.

Why do I keep bringing up the brick? Because it’s just as silly as suggesting these bugs are widespread, game breaking occurrences.

Ah yes. Having to work around the same bugs that have plagued the game for 5years instead of the bugs getting fixed.

Yes I see.

Firstly - No i did not, its irrelevant isn’t it?
What’s the point of this post anyway? Just taunts? Seriously if you have no argument or nothing relevant to say then i suggest you touch some grass and stop wasting other people time.

I never said you can’t enjoy game the way it is - you do you but i have right to give feedback and state of game is unacceptable - you don’t legally sell broken thing and get away with it unless its gaming industry.

No, you bring up bricks cause you have nothing to say and just came there to troll / taunt.

You do have the right to give feedback on the game. And as this is a discussion board, we have the right to give feedback when you are spouting hyperbolic malarkey. You know, like calling the game broken, when it clearly is not.

Yes that’s right we have right to speak but You are clearly deviate from topic with stupid taunts and if you have something to say in topic just go ahead

  • by the way saying “No its not, my gaaem works fin3!” (no argument at all) is not talking topic - more like arguing on like twelve years old in kindergarden.
