I’ve been having the same issue all night too. At first I thought it was Battleye, so I uninstalled and reinstalled that, and then I reboot my entire internet system. That worked for one server. Then I logged out of that server, and tried to log into another server I play on and it gave me nothing but Authentication Failed. It has not worked again since then. This is getting VERY old.

That is because the server that verifies your account is authentic is not working. it thinks you do not truly own a copy kind of concept. there is nothing to do with verifying the files or anything like that it is on their server.

Yep. I’m experiencing the same problem. I’m sure they’ll get someone on whatever is broken pretty quickly. Not a good look when the entire game is essentially broken.

well it has been going on for 12 hours now, so, don’t think they are rushing to fix anything.

Yeah. I’m being optimistic. But honestly, if the game is down the entire weekend or something like that, that’s a really really bad sign. Companies have no business selling and running a “live service” if they can’t support having staff on-hand/on-call to handle a p0 event.

count me in; thought it was because i disconnected earlier and it thought i was still in the game, but i think after restarting the game, steam, and uninstalling/reinstalling battleye that they have a big issue on their end right now. hope my character doesnt die from this, would be a stupid way to go

This is a weird one, I connected to a server around 10:30pm EDT. Got the error, but clicked OK and tried to connect again and got right in, been online since (~2 hours as of writing).

I can confirm that after a full reinstall (1.5 hours downloading) and zero mods, I was unable to join the private server I play on. I tried joining about 10x in a row also. I was able to join 1 official server 1x, but then couldn’t do it again after trying other servers.
Before reinstalling the game, I uninstalled and installed BattlEye using the Conan Exiles launcher UI and also manually in the Windows Explorer file browser.
Waiting for a fix from Funcom at this point. Saturday plans… delayed

Can confirm this as well, I also reinstalled steam, and reinstalled CE and all mods related, still getting the error

Yeah, you can brute force your way in, but it took me 30-50 tries before I got in 2 hours ago.

I’m getting the same. Verified the intergrity of the game, and it’s still getting authentication errors. I’m not going to reinstall, because I feel tomorrow it’ll be workable. I was just hoping I could get on and do some thrall hunting. Oh well.

It was happening intermittently and was able to get around it by simply trying again. But now we cannot get in at all.

really it’s busy , can’t connect , i try 500 times always this error connect authentification … kick the devs who do this trouble …

Same here. Just got booted from our private server and now it says Authentication Error!! Have had connection issues for 2 days with random disconnects all day.

Problem is fixed if you uninstall and never buy another Funcom game again. Guess I need other plans for this weekend.

I’m getting the same error, looks like the problem is persistent with almost everyone. Does anyone have any idea whether if this is affecting server owners or just the invitees?
PS. I SPENT $50 on this game and didn’t complete 11 hrs of playtime.

I own my server and I am having the same issue despite running repairs, removing all mods, restoring from backup and the whole nine. Total disaster. It has been like this for about a week and has gotten progressively worse (it started with a small number of people and got worse over the week)

Have tried with all my private servers to try the multi-try connect and multi-try direct connect to servers and got in after the first few tries. Had to try more with Exiled Lands than the others, but that’s not unexpected. Cannot confirm re other players on my servers yet.
Guessing it’s an issue with some authentication server FC side, or with a provider of theirs otherwise the above would not work.

Same problem, playing on PC/Steam… unable to authenticate. I verified all my files. it was fine a few hours ago, but now, can’t get into any of the official servers I play on. (I don’t play any private at present)
