Going on Hiatus 🏝

Greetings fellow Exiles and forum friends.

I am letting you know as that I have decided to take a well earned break from the forum. No need to be alarmed or for that matter celebrate prematurely, I shall return. You all have my word on that. There are several reasons for this decision. But first I just wanted to state for the record that this does not stem from the new changes, or disenchantment with the game as it stands now. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact I am still excited for the new updates. But here is where the problem lies for me: It is still approimately 3 months away for console users such as myself! Its not that the waiting bothers me. But I just cannot give constructive and well informed feedback or assistance on something I am yet to experience for myself, and it is counterproductive to simply offer such feedback from a grandstand position. I like to be a positive and helpful member, and whilever I am stuck on the sideline I cannot do that. I am just impeeding the process and formulating judgements based on the testing data of others. And with console updates having all but dried up, there is little to do in terms of assisting other ps4 users, let alone the wider community. So for now I am happy to hang back and see how the chips fall up until such time that I can take on a more active role, and give some valuable first-hand feedback from my ps4.

But its not just this. I would also like to still see a few surprises in there when I first play the Isle of Siptah, without having read about and spoiled all the features for myself beforehand. Furthermore, my own real life is insanely busy at the moment, primarily because my work is so damn demanding on the one hand, but also because I have a family on the other. As such, trying to find time for forum messages, which I almost always have a hefty backlog of, has beome very taxing upon my time. In addition, quite recently a long-term member and dear friend has now left the forum…like the majority of my forum buddys who were once here. Although a few guys who I put firmly in the above basket do still remain, I kind of miss the company of my old dear friends. Couple all of those factors together with the fact that I have now been active for over 22 months without a break, and it culminates in the following conclusion; it is time. Time for me to take my leave, and enjoy some well earned respite.

So to my good friends and fellow Exiles on the forum, let me just say “dont worry…I shall return”. While I would strongly doubt it, should any need to reach me, Sestus and Stelagel can send me a heads up on the Playstation Network, and my buddy Necro has my email. But for now, it is time for some downtime. And thus I say to you all…

I completely understand I’m a console user myself and I found myself commenting less on the forums because I haven’t experience anything on the expansion map or new items and whatever else that’s new on the map I guess will comeback strong once the map is available on consoles

And we’ll be here waiting for your return. Don’t forget to bring cake.

I can sort of relate, even. One of my favorite game series releases first on consoles and is only later ported to PC, so I sometimes feel the need to avoid certain fansites for several months while waiting to experience the game firsthand.

I also deeply appreciate your attitude towards giving feedback, and not giving any if you don’t have anything useful to say. (I mean, you could always just stay and keep requesting more Crom stuff… but I understand if that alone isn’t enough to keep you satisfied.)

I cannot agree more, I watch @Wak4863 videos and I am so jealous. I have so many questions about the isle of siptah but I wait, I wait until my controller press start on this island. I don’t know if the game will come before ps5 or otherwise, still I really need this challenge, I need people play in the console servers again, I need to bribe my new neighbor to leave my territory :joy::joy::joy:, I need to feel noob again, to fear the bear and try to avoid this fight… and many more that all of you can understand. See you soon Capten, because time is a lie that flows and steal very fast. This 22 months is yesterday, still waiting for you seem like a century, anyway, stay safe, we’ll miss you :+1:

We’ll miss you while you’re gone. I hope your vacation is less eventful than Foley’s

Thankyou guys! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: :yum: You are all such good friends and wonderful people. I will still log in for the next couple of days to do some housekeeping and finish up any loose-end posts before I venture out. I really am so humbled by all your frindship and kind words. I will try to compose some more individual, post specific replies ASAP, but trust me I will be back! After all someone has to keep fighting for…

Enjoy your vacation and DON’T BE LIKE ME.

I took time off from the game and FORGOT TO DISABLE THRALL DECAY.

I no longer have Valentina Shevchenko as my personal assassin and it hurts me :frowning:

Look forward to seeing your return!

See ya on the flip side Croms. Don’t sacrifice too many muggles to Crom while you’re gone, he doesn’t listen anyway :japanese_ogre:

I suggest Assassins’ Creed Valhalla. Single player offline game set in time of Vikings invading England. Comes out in 2 weeks, and looks to have a lot of things I wanted for Conan as far as raiding and “City” building. Not actual building per se, but expanding your clan. I know I might be shutting down on Conan soon, as my Siptah run has gotten boring and repetitive, and I have no taste anymore for what they call pvp on the raid servers.

Up until today, I would’ve recommended Cyberpunk 2077, but… it got delayed again :stuck_out_tongue:

Noooooo!

But you know it will be well worth the wait.

How can you say it’s delayed when it’s not even close to 2077 yet? I bet it’ll still be years ahead of schedule when it’s released.
