Didn’t see this topic although it may be there worded differently.
I’ve played games where you as a clan can grant other clan members to loot your corpse and I know there is a toggle for it in settings but I’m not understanding why you cant allow the clan leader to enable or grant on an Official PVE
I watched a buddy fall to his death and then lose al his stuff cause he couldn’t get back in time and as his clan leader there was nothing I could do.
Example of a past game.
I played the Original Everquest in the day when you died you could log off and back on the next day but only had 1 hour to retrieve I always seems to die just as I was about to log out and go to bed and I always stayed up till I at least got my stuff back but they gave you a 2 hour window we didn’t have the temperature issues that Conan has.
When you joined a clan or in a Party of friends and died you could Grant a fellow clan mate or friend to loot your corpse.
I know this is a survival game but part of surviving is being able to count on your team or party mates.
you could make it a clan leaders tool to enable or not and when enable then all clan mates could toggle a added in checkmark for loot permission.
You have 30 min to go back and gain your loot, 30 min. Instead of watching your team mates loot why you didn’t went to help him come in time and collect it?
Playing in Siptah you can ask to spawn in one of the 4 starting locations. Playing in exile lands you can use map rooms, how 30 are not enough? I agree that it would be easier not only to the clan leader but to anyone in the clan to collect the loot but it would allow trolls too. Pve official is safe game, they keep it this way for reasons some of us cannot imagine. If you want to loot your team mate on pve, go private, officials are this way.
unfortunately we didn’t have any spare Winter gear and there wasn’t any maproom nearby or we could have done that it was better that I stay at his corpse in the hopes that he could scrounge something together and get back to that location and be able to easily find me rather than the pulsating Corpse marker that is still sometimes hard to locate.
Ty for your input.
Look…
You choose this, both of you and you accept the consequences. And yes you are right, sometimes the body is lost in the mase.
If I can suggest here something is always try to have all the cooking recipes of the game they help. Consumables like mulled brew can give you a chance for a walk in the coldest places. Ice is way cheaper but it’s your best friend in the volcano. I wouldn’t have problem to loot my team mate things in official pve, but apparently they did it to minimize trolls between team mates in clans. If you need help to gather all the cooking recipes in Exile lands say the name of the server and I’ll drop by.
LOL… You were wearing cold weather gear but couldn’t think to let the dead guy wear it in order to go get his stuff? TeeHeehehe… The corpse shows up on the map and is nearly impossible to lose - but even so, just set down a standing torch if you think otherwise.
@TeleTesselator
This is what I meant when I said help your teammate. Exactly this. Still players with low experience cannot think clearly in cases like this. Other than that maybe the other player was not to be trusted and both would loose then not just one.
@King_Gundy one last suggestion for these cases is the survival build. I never try it but a really experienced pvp player @SirDaveWolf, once said that full survival build is taking you anywhere naked.
I think all you need for hot and cold negation (survival) are the two shields. I think they both weight under or around 3 and when held can take you anywhere. Excessively long periods of climbing are the only exceptions.
I said that once 4 to 6 months ago and you nearly killed me for it… LOL
