Sorry to say, I’ve seen a couple of reports like this, with Playstation seemingly getting the worst of it. As far as I know, the events are supposed to just happen - the symbol should just turn up on the map without you having to do anything special. Though people are trying various workarounds - hopefully maybe something could work for you?
