Grave Matters not spawning Taskmaster at event location

Bug Description:

Grave Matter event at two locations in Siptah spawns obelisks and undead, but is missing the invulnerable/shielded Taskmaster. You can clear the obelisks, but not complete the event.

Steps to Reproduce:

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. Please be as detailed as possible; the more details, the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

Go to event location and start fighting obelisks that rise out of the ground.
Try to keep an eye out for the shielded dome and the Taskmaster inside.
Can never find the Taskmaster.
Etc.

Have you also tried it without mods?

For what it’s worth, I’m finding the events spawn fine in my singleplayer game (including the taskmaster) with the following modlist -
ModControlPanel
Fashionist
Savage Steel (Vol1)
Arena Pier
Emotes for Thralls
Pythagoras Support Beams
LBPR additional features
LBPR
Immersive Armor

But I did learn the other day that Emotes for thralls is somehow turning Beri from a tempersmith into a bladesmith - so maybe one of your other mods is similarly having an unexpected effect somewhere?

I was kind of wondering at the new Powerful Females might be messing it up, but I figure I should still report it. It stopped working after 2.7 went live and something updated.

It would pretty thoroughly destroy my bases made with Ars Gothica Granite mod, so I’ve been super leery of trying that.

I found it safer to test by backing up the game.db so I could set everything back afterwards. Having to wait for multiple events might be a pain, but if you’ve got a good bet on what might be the culprit, could at least be worth trying without that?

Then tell me please if it were specific obelisks so I could try it on singleplayer.

Coordinates or “A-10” for example, I’m not fully aware of Siptah.

Okay the Event at C-9 (Sanctuary of the Serpent) did work. (twice)

(had some Fatal Errors after a while, so sorry for the delay.)

Now go down your mod list and check what causes it, maybe one is outdated.

Remove “Emotes for Thralls”.
At least for me it solves the problem.

Yes, I reported that issue to the modder a day or two ago once I identified the mod that was causing it

Personally, I’m still using the mod - I know other tempersmiths still exist out there (since I accidentally killed one while specifically looking for one - oops…), so I’m not too worried if Beri wants to be a bladesmith in my game, that’s fine. I only brought it up here to illustrate how sometimes mods can effect something I really wouldn’t expect them to. But if anyone is bothered by that change then removing Emotes for Thralls does indeed fix it
