Is this a bug our something, I’ve noticed it many times while trying to PVP. The Stamina bar seems to grey out and gets stuck and takes and extra 3-5 seconds to fully charge and sometimes its greyed out and then I can sprint again…
This is intended. What you are seeing is the exhaustion state. The trick is to not use stamina to 0, but get it close and stop attacking to let it regen a bit.
This is not a bug.

hmm i’ve ran my stamina down many many times but as the bar fills back up it stops in the middle of filling and stays greyed out. This doenst seem like a penalty when its at 0, rather a bug. If its a penalty then why can you run again while its still grey?
I’ve noticed an occasional display bug with the stamina bar. As you mention, it stays grey while refilling, or get’s stuck half way. I’m almost certain it’s a display error (like when you log on, and your health is on 200). Just ignore, and predict where your actual stamina bar should be

I can duplicate the half full gray by jumping in the water during the recharge phase. If it is happening to you outside the water then I don’t know what is going on.
For me stamina regens slowly when I am in areas with heatstroke or frostbite.
But I think that should be intended.
