Have base game on epic store and want to buy DLC from steam

Hi,
I have a question as the title. I have the base game from free event of epic store. I am thinking about buying the DLC with “good” price from steam. I do not know how the game behaves between different platforms. Is it safe for me to do that and how can I “active” the dlc when I have it?

I wanted to put a snarky remark here but it is christmas.

You can’t do that because the EGS and Steam are two different stores and they don’t share userdata and content. Either buy it via EGS or Steam.
