The description states that it’s made from star metal. It’s made from steel.
Maybe this is why wearing it completes the journey step to equip epic armor.

Description hasnt been updated… It required Star metal during early access, so this is just a description update issue really
Yes, that was the point of this post. 
They also need to change the fact that it counts as wearing epic armor for the journey step.
