Here is some ideas of adjustments to Sorcery for PVP

Hi There,

From my testing and the feedback on the forums, here is some ideas of adjustments to Sorcery for PVP to avoid unbalancing the game :

  • Ice Bridge → Can not be build in another player land claim area (*).

  • Summon Corpse → Add a cool down of one hour, else it is a transport system.

  • Call of Nergal : Summons a bat → Can not fly in another player land claim area (*).

  • Lightning Storm : Summons a thunderstorm → Reduce the damage to the same as a Demon-Fire Barrage for example and a cool down of 10 minutes.

  • Sorcery too easy to learn → must complete reals challenges like dungeons, collect rares ressources, try fews times to get one more level and not get a sheet on the ground with fews easy to get loot. Exept the 100 black blood I do not see anything hard to get for a naked player with stone daggers :slight_smile:

(*) May be we can replace “land claim area” with “another socerer area”, like a god bubble. (sorcerer with bench, creating a protection …)

I’d be against the bats not letting you fly over land claim. Because that makes absolutely zero sense. What I would be in favor for are defenses that can fire up at those bats to provide a counter.

I’ve seen several people today say that Funcom has determined the LS damage to be a bug. Just curious if any links to that?

Ive seen it quoted on here a few times, not sure on the original though, the dev lead is usually tagged in them though so no reason its not legit

How are you dying more than once per hour in PvE?

Im sorry mate but this is gonna make this spells literally useless…
Devs must go other -more complicate way - add more base defenses (including offline ones)

And ofc tweak the lightning damage to structures to the lvl of orbs (maybe) or lower

Sorcery not easy and cheap… it costfull and slow, dang, those bags weight is a killer

What we definitely need is more combat sorcery
Im not talking about pvp\pve meta, fireballs and magic rays, only about being able to fight while staff equipped until you manage to flee\heal\swap to proper melee
Lets start with arcane staff alternate attack - AOE pushing enemy back (with low dmg)
and heavy attack - channeling of elemental power via the staff (same as lifting up the rocks for spells)
this attack use ground sand (desert biome), mud (jungle\thundra biome), ice (north biome) and deal moderate dmg

Both attacks quick (because they are not tablet spells) and using your hp\stamina even after 50% cap
