Living Settlements ate into our thrall limit b/c now crafters counted toward it significantly!
Now we have two maps we can play in, which means more bases, outposts to populate.
How about doubling the thrall limit on Official servers?
Maybe thrall limit doubles only after one owns both base game and Siptah DLC.
Maybe it could be tied to gameplay. After reaching current max base follower limit potential (as dictated by server settings) through clan members, limit is further raised after completing tasks/achievements. You gain “social renown and influence” and thus can have more under your command.
And I only play on PvE, personally, so I won’t bother suggesting outside of that mode in this matter.
at least more 20 slots to compensate the crafters if we have at least one of each type. It breaks my heart when i have to dismiss a pretty performer for saving slots.
I try to sell extra named thralls before I delete them, but I agree thrall count is pretty low for one account and a 1 member clan. Every thrall from a purge counts because they are already live. Those that have played Arc, know you can backup a tamed animal and put it in a device until you need it later. I don’t always need all of the thralls currently walking around my base and could easily back them up until needed. Or Stop given us thralls from purges in cages and instead have them in the chest box. Much easier to hand off to someone else or pull out of the chest to put them in the crafting station and remove as needed.
There would be a lot more clans if you could prevent someone being a douche in game, taking all your inventory and deleting all bases and break bond on all thralls or send them cheap to someone else.
Oh i got around that- got my kids in the clan with paid copies , thats two more added and an online friend added himself as well. That already puts me above 100.
Ok then I guess your pretty new to the game as you seem to not know that before living settlements crafters/priests were workbench inventory and did not count towards the max thrall total.
You call buying your kids accounts and adding those to your clan to compensate for the low amount of thralls adapting? I call that paying for a workaround.
Well then. Your best solution is running your own “public”, dedicated server with open doors to anybody who feels like joining. (Provided you can convince or lure them in).
But be forewarned:
With open doors you run the same risk that officials have with cheats, exploits and hacks.
Preventing that will rely upon who administrates the server.
Follower limit is there for technical reasons, isn’t it? I think the current number is fine for official servers. Nobody needs hundreds of thralls, and we are not meant to build big immersive cities on these servers anyway.
However, if the limit is increased, i’m happy for all of you.
Storing thralls as items in a box would be convenient, but i’m generally against this. We can still do this until the thrall is placed in the world, which i would also remove from the game. It’s a blatant nonsense that you can cram 48 thralls into a single box. It’d be pretty bad even if it was only one guy in a box.
All thralls and followers in general should be treated as actual in world objects from initial obtaining until they die or we break bonds. No more as easily storable items.
Speaking of, catching horse foals by simply putting a 50kg item into our bag is weird. We should be required to use the bindings as a leash and lead the foal all the way to the stable.
