It was understandable that the follower limit existed because of technical limitations, and it was very necessary for the official servers at the time. But now, with the Enhanced upgrade to UE5, couldn’t those limits be increased a little while still keeping the servers stable?
Before the big thrall nerf, most people didn’t need more than one or two warrior thralls. After it, we need a lot more of them, especially for purges (if you’re not interested in cheesing the purge mechanics).
Now, with Living Settlements, an endgame base requires at least 18 follower slots just to have one crafter for every profession. On top of that, with the addition of the Siptah map, if you want to maintain even a small base there, you’ll need even more thralls.
Also, with the ability to sell thralls, you’ll need a lot of follower slots if you want to be a merchant. (I don’t think gold is the best currency for this system. Obolus would make much more sense.)
I think a good solution would be to allow thrall itemization. In a perfect world, we would have both more follower slots and thrall itemization.
