Higher thrall limits on Official Servers, when?

It was understandable that the follower limit existed because of technical limitations, and it was very necessary for the official servers at the time. But now, with the Enhanced upgrade to UE5, couldn’t those limits be increased a little while still keeping the servers stable?

Before the big thrall nerf, most people didn’t need more than one or two warrior thralls. After it, we need a lot more of them, especially for purges (if you’re not interested in cheesing the purge mechanics).

Now, with Living Settlements, an endgame base requires at least 18 follower slots just to have one crafter for every profession. On top of that, with the addition of the Siptah map, if you want to maintain even a small base there, you’ll need even more thralls.

Also, with the ability to sell thralls, you’ll need a lot of follower slots if you want to be a merchant. (I don’t think gold is the best currency for this system. Obolus would make much more sense.)

I think a good solution would be to allow thrall itemization. In a perfect world, we would have both more follower slots and thrall itemization.

I’m not entirely sure what you mean by itemization of thralls, but I don’t think removing the thrall limit would be a good idea, and here’s why.

There will always be someone who fills their base with 500+ thralls, which would put a huge strain on the server. On PvP, that’s less of an issue because other players can raid the base and reduce that number. But on PvE or PvE-C? Absolutely not.

I think we play on the same server. A while back there was a clan called Mineiros that had massive builds spread all over the map, causing noticeable server lag. Now imagine if that same clan also had 500+ thralls on top of all those structures. That would be a nightmare for server performance. lol

no no, not removing it, just raising a little like more 20 slots. By itemiztion i mean returning a thrall from the world to the inventory at some cost like reseting lvls and so on. For sure no limits is bad, much before this clan you mentioned, i witnessed clans filling near a entire quadrant with thralls, they not placed much more because the minimal distance between thralls was greater. lol
