Why does a horse level up strength and agility, why does it need it? What does these indicators affect?
Strength I believe modifies the damage they do when they trample.
Agility decreases the spread of arrows shot while riding. However you need something like 40-60 agility to notice a difference.
The fact is that my horse cannot in any way inflict damage on the enemy. If I place a horse opposite an attacking enemy and press the spacebar, then the animation of rearing up and hitting the enemy with its hooves is played, which wastes a significant part of the stamina, but does not cause any damage to the enemy. I have a Xevyr mod that tracks any damage of my character and companions, so I can say this absolutely accurately, I checked it in different situations and on different NPCs.
Perhaps in the past damage was caused by hooves, but now this is no longer possible.
For Rhino, on the contrary, they recently returned the damage from a blow with a horn, but removed the character’s ability to use weapons.
If you charge into an enemy, the horse will damage it. Usually. I think there’s some creatures that are immune, it might be a size based thing, not sure.
But I love just running through a camp, knocking people around with my horse.
Although, sometimes it’s unintentional, and I annoy the Sepermeru guards.
I tried to just run into the enemy. I tried it with different NPCs: gazelles, rocknoses, hyenas, etc. This does not cause any damage.
I just logged in to check, in case something busted in this last patch. Still does damage.
Gorilla, shoebill, hyena, croc, rocknose all take damage. Gazelle was killed outright.
Are you sprinting? It won’t damage if you’re just trotting.
Yes, apparently, this is the whole point, thanks for the clarification.
Unless it’s the Khitans at Mek’s spire. They really don’t like getting even slightly bumped as you walk by.
My favorite hunting method when I need steak for my thralls in training. There’s nothing like the taste of a fresh roadkill.
I feel a twinge of guilt when I’m just riding through the grass and I suddenly hear “Thump! Screeee!” as I unintentionally run over a rabbit. Or a turtle hidden in the beach sand.
