I would be interested in such a feature. Gift subscriptions for friends. Via a serial key that can be redeemed on the account page. As it is now there is no way to obtain game time serials to gift to friends. Could help promote the game.

Well if you really want to do that, just buy a copy off of Amazon and give them the code out of it. I just looked and there were 3 copies for under $6.00.
Not saying your’s is a bad idea, but there is an alternate for now.
I don’t think you’re understanding my post. I am talking specifically about subscription time. like 30 days sub , 60 days, and so on. Not a copy of the game which can be downloaded free online anyway.

Btw about that amazon copies, are you sure those game codes still work giving the expected 30 days? cause the 60 day timecard for example are not working anymore since the game became “Unchained”
i think the code you got with boxed versions of the game can (or could) be used on existing accounts and you would benefit from the 1month premium it includes. but as Valanno pointed : does it still work ?
I don’t know but that isn’t what i was talking about anyway. I would like a way to purchase a paid sub time and get a serial key I can gift to a friend or whoever. Like say im streaming and hosting a giveaway for 30 days free game time every so often. Could help promote the game and my stream at the same time. Just something for funcom to consider.

Along with the boxed game you get (and yes it still works as I did Godslayer over Christmas) 30 days VIP time, plus whatever extra’s that came with the box.
Granted it’s a one shot deal and as I already agreed with, being able to gift game time would be great.
As long as it’s a new box, you get the 30 days VIP and whatever extra’s that came with the box. I bought Godslayer as a Christmas gift for myself and was able to add the code to my account and get the 30 VIP time.
Any you’re right the game cards aren’t accepted anymore, but the code in the boxes are.
Good idea. Also please consider making subs available using steam wallet and Funcom points.

yes, really I dont understand why we cannot link our old account on steam, it is discrimination!!
I’m not sure what you mean. you can download the game client through steam and log in with your account. There is no way to “Link it” to your steam account though.

+++ for a way to gift gametime to others (eg via a key or whatever, but a key feature is already part of the account, so it might be easy to open up such a feature?)
I mean old account if you pay there is no option to buy funcom points with steam even if you play client through steam, only if you created an account through a client downloaded with steam, that account has the option to link to steam and then pay with it
It would be great a chance to link somewhat these old account to a steam one

Good example. I can and have bought funcom points using Steam wallet with no problem that I use on my account to buy things from the in game store. What I would like to see is buying subs from the in game store. I can buy everything else but a sub that way because there is no option that I found to buy a sub from the store
