How difficult can it be..?

How difficult can it be to make a game that runs okay, that doesn’t crash mid-dungeon. That is bug free, how difficult can it be…seriously..?

Today, again, I lost an ace fighter because the server crashed.

…?

As an IT worker, I can say some projects are extremely difficult to keep stable, especially large legacy ones. Things get even worse when there is high turnover within the team.

Lack of investment and poor management decisions can also seriously impact software quality over time. And it is not only about fixing bugs or servers — live service games also need a constant flow of content updates, balancing, testing and infrastructure improvements at the same time.

So in my humble opinion, the best way to mitigate these issues is proper investment. If a game has good potential, investing in stability, content, infrastructure and experienced developers can keep it profitable and healthy for many years.
