How do I saddle a horse? (Xbox One)

I can’t for the life of me figure out how to saddle a horse on the Xbox One version.

I have the saddle, in my inventory - but placing it in the horse inventory does nothing, I can’t place it in the equipment slot of the horse, and pressing X while it’s in the horses’ inventory or my inventory just exits the inventory screen.

How the hell do I equip the damn saddle!?

You have to manually move it to the equip slot the same way you would shift it to a different spot in your inventory (ps4 here so I dont know your button).

It’s A for anyone else wondering. Saddle into horse inventory, then press A and move it to the the saddle slot.
