I am not certain it is an ‘exploit’ as much as it is an old bug resurfacing.
Years ago, the same thing would happen to players while leveling where they would do some normal function of the game (such as killing a regular mob or pulling a bracelet and respawning) and their character would oddly jump from whatever level they were at, to 61 with the knowledge locking in place where it was at.
Now, you can argue that the person continuing to use the character is exploiting but if they were legit leveling and happened to kill something at level 50 that made their character now level 61 and they reported it, pretty ■■■■■■ to make them start all over leveling a new character.
I think there was also a bug situation in the past where the bug worked opposite and would not allow people to hit lvl 60, but do not remember all the details.
I see your point, but looking at this player’s track record, there’s plenty of room for suspicion. It’s not everyday you see someone get a developer ban in another game.

I think you mean mean elaborate on it.
I know people can be triggered when corrected but I call BS on your reply because anytime a reproducible exploit happens, we tend to start seeing it more than what we are seeing (just look at the exponential growth of the speed exploit over the last week), especially after almost a week of it surfacing.
I play on 3 active servers and have seen it once once, perhaps twice (would expect more even for a random bug) but in the event I am wrong and you are actually privy to how to reproduce the exploit, you accidentally neglected to point out the more important fact that you reported the steps to the devs to look into and fix.
It may be but players do it without knowing how as well.
I have a friend on console that got bumped to level 61 when he server transfered. He has reported himself but so far nothing has been done about it.
