I came to realization that the map is too small to have 40 players in my personal opinion I believe that in order to actually have a proficient number of players without having server-inducing lag is to expand the map and make it where people can make their bases away from others like farther away then how people have their bases right now.
Don’t get me wrong I love having the idea of seeing all the new players come in and being able to find them quickly and know what they’re doing and ask them if they want to trade but it still feels like the island is missing a lot like it was a development for 5 years and we’ve never seen a map expansion or any new lore related things in roughly 5 years.
Like it just kind of feels like the island is missing a lot and the desert or the exile lands has better and more content than the Island like I have seen people who initially want to see the island have an expansion because let’s be fair there’s not really a lot to do on the island.
And I know someone may disagree with me but I’m not going to be the type of person to argue back and forth because you have your right to disagree or you’re right to agree.
They need to bring back the random chaos storms, but maybe instead of potential thralls they spawn random powerful creatures/treasure/rare loot (like the corrupted stone which needs map room from exiled lands).
As is, Siptah doesn’t really feel that good. It’s worth buying for the building/armor sets sure, but the map is very lackluster.
Entirely new creatures could be fun here- I would like to see more dynamic/powerful large creatures. Stuff like conan-lore-friendly dinosaurs or other more alien/Lovecraft creatures.
Also the bottom two island zones that they kinda tacked on to Siptah are interesting but feel very copy-pasted. Maybe more of this kinda thing, but the pasted biome blobs don’t really sit well with me. Looks like something out of Palworld or how Minecraft has sharp biome transitions.
I get what you mean Siptah can feel crowded fast, especially with active servers. A map expansion or new zones/lore would definitely freshen it up. Even small additions could make the island feel more alive again.
Exactly, like maybe a new boss or certain parts of the desert since they already have parts of the desert in the map. Or they can make it where the maps more interactive like certain things on the map open up hidden things that are based off of the lore.
I mean technically speaking there’s already pirate ships on the isle of siptah but it’s still kind of really feels bland when them ships don’t move at all. It’s just basically feels like the whole entire island is just a stagnant land with dungeons that are just basically copied and pasted and in my opinion too easy to find. We need the talking werewolf that gives the beast potions on that island because it would make so much more sense not to mention they already have underwater caves so why can’t they have an underwater dungeon besides the fishman dungeons, and even then them dungeons are not underwater dungeons at all because they’re on land. Another thing to put here is it kind of just feels like it’s too easy like add some new mobs that are more challenging like how the boss is in the desert map having over 25 to 30k hp.
I guess my biggest problem is that Siptah feels like it was built to be a PVP map arena. I guess it kinda WAS, but the layout feels like blobs of kinda pasted on top of the mp, with LOTS of empty bland space.
I dunno what would fix it, but it needs something, even if it was a vault overhaul or more TLC in the bland parts.
Alternatively, have the initial goal be getting to the pirate outpost and maybe reworking the map to be a co-operative map would alleviate the crowding. Something that dissuades players from even building major settlements and isntead focus on a constant “on the go” kind of attitude.
Something like a large scale raid kinda stuff or repelling a giant creature that is attacking the pirate outpost. People are gonna PVP regardless, but having some NPC large scale major threats that constantly rock the boat would go a long way. (and not the cheesy surge/purge stuff)
EL feels VERY hand crafted in that you practically trip over stuff just traveling around.
