Just as the title states I found over 91k corrupted stone in a single dismantling bench.
Why?..
Should I be reporting somekind of exploit and what purpose could this serve?

What do you get if you dismantle a maproom? Never did it myself.
you can’t place a maproom in a dismatling bench. you take it apart with a hammer. those days of picking up map rooms are gone
Back in the day, there was a “trick” semi-exploit in which you could over load an inventory so long as it was the same item.
I wont explain the how, but it could be the explanation you seek.
I’m pretty sure the devs knew about it. But a reminder may be in order.

Fair enough… unless they had them in a bench and decided to get rid of them. I will dismantle a legacy maproom and see what I get.

You get 30 per maproom, so it’s possible that they had 3 map-rooms in storage and simply dismantled them to get the resources. So lacking any evidence, it is plausible they could have been attained thru legit means.
but they had 91k in that dismantling bench. Its astonishing it held that much. the max capacity is extremely lower
Well, I would say it’s inconclusive from a “did they cheat” perspective. They may have, but it’s not conclusive. A single stack of corrupted stone is 100 if I’m not mistaken and you can throw 5 map-roooms in the bench at a time… where there iron reinforcements too?

Thats 910 stacks in a bench inventory that hold maybe thirty?

possibly old exploit yes. The corrupted stone was left because useless tbh, but they collected the alchemical, iron reinforce, and crystal more than likely. That would be the useful stuff for armor, tnt, and breaking down and back into iron bars for steel.

there is no such thing as a legacy maproom (well there shouldn’t be) , as far as I remember when the build changes everything that is now built via hammer and was in chests is broken down into resource packs
90k stones is 900 stacks , which is technically possible because each bench automatically increases its inventory when it needs to , you just can’t add anything until you take the excess…
900 stacks won’t fit in your inventory by the way, that’s also limited as far as I know
True. No one in their right mind would craft tons of map rooms just to get the corrupted stone back. The return on investment is foolish. lol… more than likely they had a bunch of duped map rooms (or other item with corrupted stone) and left it there for a long time. Let’s face it, who’s gonna use that much corrupted stone? It has so few uses and 91k is just too much for anyone to go through. Now oil… I’d dupe that all day if I could… 
maybe it comes from the exploit where you can place vaults and other building pieces with the costs of other building pieces like a sandstone ramp and when you dismantled it you got the correct building mats back. It got fixed some months ago but maybe there are other bugs or exploits with that you can get tons of materials^^

You can throw more than 5, the UI just shows the first row only!
Nope its an exploit and I found out what it is… I won’t comment because the moderators will moderate me lol
