I thought it was stated you could complete the Battle Pass anytime, so long as you paid for it

I just pay for everything, I do not want to do boring challenges. Because. . . I am lazy.

Except, everything we get from the challenges is cosmetic.

They may win a fashion contest, but, hardley, the game.

Now, you want to talk about pay-to-win, there are a lot of MMOs and FPS that embrace this model. COnan is not, currently, one of them.

With the exception of mounts, there is no game changing DLC or rewards that cost actual cash. And mounts, in my opinion, are pretty banal and easily countered.

First, I don’t find them boring (yet, but it can change, if all the challenges remain the same), I only do 70 or 150 XP ones. If I unintentionally complete lesser ones is because I just happen to gather/harvest the same stuff that the challenge requires.
And with the 10x multipliers, and the 3 times reroll options is plentyful, it can be done easily within 3 months.
Especially if you don’t find them boring, but a challenge.

Well, I do find them boring, but that is personal opinion and not judgement.

However, we agree that the Battle Pass challenges are relatively easy to complete in the 12ish week timespan.

I don’t know…those small cypress trees did a great job concealing a base I made. Mixing it with decorative plants made it invisible to the casual passerby.

I’ve been busy modding and dont have time to do them, so I’m glad there is just a purchase option. I’d like to think I’ll do them without purchase one day… but I doubt it. Buying and forgetting is preferable for me.

I thought it was pretty self-explanatory…
Or do people not complete chapters before jumping into the next one when they read a book?

It’s the same in every game I know.

Probably. At least when they read instruction manuals etc. I can’t remember how many times I’ve had to explain something elementary to a customer who had skipped the last sentence or two from a paragraph while skimming through the instructions.

But an even greater number of issues rises from the fact that people just don’t read. Period.

In the OP’s defense, it must be said that Funcom’s explanation on how the Battle Pass works was not exactly obvious to people who were not familiar with the concept from other games, and information is hard to come by via the game itself, requiring players to look for information on third-party sites. That may be why some people ended up with misleading information. I actually went to Funcom’s web site and tried to look for information about the Battle Pass, but couldn’t easily find an article that wold’ve answered all relevant questions. I’d rather not go through multiple blog posts to make a decision about a purchase, especially since whatever is written on those blog posts is always “subject to change”.

So I finished it a couple days ago, completely legit on official (with the exception of one challenge that was bugged). Three weeks in, doing almost entirely legendary and rare challenges. It’s not hard. Besides, even if it is a time slog for some, you can always “cheat” in single player and get it done as well. My clanmate fell behind and wanted to catch up, so she used her stack of multipliers and went up like 10-15 levels in minutes just using single player admin spawns. No need to complain or pay $100.

Over the last few days on two platforms I have leveled the first 10 levels doing it “legit” by sticking to 70-value Challenges. That’s 14.29 Challenges per BP Level.

Nominally, with a median value of 70, it will require a player to complete 10 challenges per day for 90 days straight. This seems almost punitive.

IF a player is unaware of how these things work, and simply stays on the “straight and narrow,” they might consider this system onerous or even a detriment to the game. After considerable effort (testing 2.x, TestLive and Live + Console in parallel) I have formulated a different opinion, and will produce a vid, writeup or series about how the BP might actually be good for the game.

ETA: OH – I loled at the free Mulch

I’ve got some roses in the Kithan Pot, small pot with water in it  works pretty nicely!

You got problems if you’re wasting time doing the stupid challenges normally. Just spam out some levels in single player. You should be able to complete the battlepass in 2-3 sessions of this depending how long you build up the bonus exp.

I have repeatedly collected multipliers until just before 20 and only spent on 70s or 150s challenges and today I completed the new Battle Pass.

So it can’t be that hard to complete the Battle Pass in 90 days (13 Weeks), even if you only check the game every 3 or 4 days (to avoid losing multipliers.).

If anyone has problems with the challenges, I recommend this little guide in self-promotion.
A few useful teleport points to the end boss included.

Have fun
Greetings
