I noticed Ice lasts the same as Iced Tea. Preparing Iced tea is somewhat complex, whereas Ice is quite easy to get. Could someone take a moment and explain why would one take the time to prepare iced tea, please?

Is that so?? Good lord, I’ve made many runs, always dedicated time to concoct the damned Iced Tea; this run, I got into a pinch and had to eat ice I indivertibly had collected, and my jaw dropped, I am angry now, this makes absolutely no sense, it drills so far into stupidity that it begins to bleed.

Ice Tea is not equal to Ice for cooling down, it is inferior, but is not for cooling down, it is for giving a small boost to stamina regeneration while also quenching thirst.
Ice is terrible at quenching thirst and gives no unique bonuses, but is great for cooling down.
See the lists on the wiki for the best cooling down/warming up consumables.

In other words, use Ice in the volcano, the added value of items in the volcano revolves around cooling down, in my view.

Imagine what the npc’s at the volcano are thinking wandering around in an enclosed space where all that radiant heat can’t easily escape and there’s 800 °C + lava just metres away. ‘It’s a bit hot around here.’ ‘You’ll be alright mate, suck on an ice cube’.
Naah, I crafted a suit of Champion armor and forgot about the heat. That nagging stick poking you in the bum is not for me, especially when fighting 7 foes at once… forget that.
They dissipate the heat with their bombastic boobs 
Ice is pretty convenient for the starting game for fast exhibition on volcano and for a “very special way of gaming “. Later on cooling food, alchemy, with a good set of armor or legendary gear can be more beneficial since ice just provides cooling effect. If you happen to forget to carry ice or cooling consumable, merchants on volcano may cover this need, but you have to carry with you some coins also.
I know the way ice works on volcano seem to “delete” any effort or will to search for something more beneficial even if it exists or not, it’s simply game breaking. But because i love playing on “very special ways”like doing speed runs, i really wouldn’t like to see another mechanism getting destroyed. They could simply give more cooling time on difficult consumables just in an effort to balance situations. For example Darfari bug soup could last 10 minutes on cooling effects and be equal on cooling effect with ice.
I believe that cooking and brewing in this game needs a complete revamp.
Iced Tea and Ice last too little, it is annoying as hell; no thanks. Chilled Godbreaker or Champion armor solves the problem entirely. Yes, getting the knowledge is a tall order, but the level of threat inside the volcano rivals it. The mob of NPCs that comes at you ain’t no joke.

I had for years a starting route, a round around the map for each new character i was creating on several servers to gain knowledge and Obelisks from day one. I had to change it because of that, even if you run fast and know every spawn and each stone, archers can literally crash you like a bug. I use to grab the obelisk of the frost keep and enter the volcano from the hidden path, to the pilgrimage bridge and up to the obelisk. Now i enter from the gate across the obelisk avoiding the white dragon both on entry and exit.
But i like the fact that things got harder up there… if it was rewarding as well, it would be awesome

the bar keep in Sepermeru next to Conan sells Ice Tea for a Silver, conveniently located next to the silvermines.
Ice is better at cooling; read back in the post, @Tephra solved the issue, buy the ice at the volcano.
