IMPORTANT NOTICE: New Council of Truth Security Protocols

IMPORTANT NOTICE
NEW SECURITY PROTOCOLS FOR THE COUNCIL OF TRUTH
LAST UPDATED: 18 MAY 29492

Because of recent events and threats, the security procedures at the Council of Truth meetings will be updated. To make this easier for everyone this handy guide has been written by the head of security. Please read through this guide and refer back to it whenever you need to!
You can also always ask Clerk Zagadka or Head of Security Hannah ‘Kittiefixie’ at the meetings or through a message or mail outside of meeting hours.

If you work with the Council of Truth or attend the Council of Truth meetings, feel free to pass this information on to others who might need it. It’s wise to keep an eye out when attending the meetings.

When attending a meeting of the Council of Truth, please respect these following security procedures:

  1. Try to be early rather than late. Security procedures might take some time if there are many attendees, so plan ahead for this. Security will usually be in place half an hour before a meeting.
  2. Form an orderly queue starting at the door to the tower, if there are more attendees than you waiting to enter.
3a) When you reach the security check by the door, please state your name if you are unknown to the security personnel. Be prepared to answer a few questions. After the check, security will inform the Council Clerk Zagadka of your arrival and you will be let in.
3b) If you are known to the security personnel from earlier Council meetings, please just wait while security informs the Council Clerk of your arrival and you will be let in once this has been done.
  3. When you come into the meeting chamber, take a seat and wait for the meeting to begin.
  4. When the meeting is over, leave the tower in an orderly manner. In case you need an escort out, let security know.
  5. In some cases the Council might also offer escort to the meetings, but you need to let us know well in advance and be willing to maybe arrive on the early side not to interfere with other security duties. Bring a good book to read. Tea or coffee will be arranged for.

Until we can make visitor keycards to give to attendees for entry, this security check will be our best line of defence against outside threats. We hope you will all cooperate with us on this.

Additional guidelines:

  1. No matter if you’re new to the meetings or a regular attendee, please let security know if you’re coming armed or not. Until further notice, weapons are still allowed, but you need to let security know. This way we can have an idea of who can help fight back in case of an attack on the Council and the meeting.
  2. Don’t leave any bags or containers around without keeping an eye on them. If you see an unattended bag or container, let security know at once.
  3. If someone is acting in a su****ious manner, please let security know this as well.
  4. Please don’t run inside the tower, especially not if a meeting is going on.
  5. Don’t bring pets unless you have to. If you do, keep them leashed at all times during the meeting.
  6. In case of an attack please be ready to help security defend the tower if you’re able to. If you can’t help, at least draw back so that you don’t get in the way.
  7. If you’re asked by security to leave the meeting, please do so peacefully.
  8. If security asks you to do anything, please do so. They probably have good reasons, and if they can’t explain that moment, they’ll explain why later.
  9. Absolutely no smoking in the Council tower, especially not during the meetings!

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in contact with Hannah, ID ‘Kittiefixie’ either via comms or via mail, or in person. For questions about the meetings themselves, the subjects discussed or on the agenda, or to inform the Council of Truth of matters that should be brought to attention, please contact Clerk Zagadka, ID ‘Zagadka’ via these same alternatives.

These procedures might be changed, but if they are the date will be updated for easier overlook.

Thank you for your cooperation.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
NEW SECURITY UPDATE FOR THE COUNCIL OF TRUTH
LAST UPDATED: 10 OCTOBER 29493

Because of a recent attack on the Council meeting, the security procedures at the Council of Truth meetings has been updated. The other security protocols are still valid, but the way to gain entry to the meeting has been changed to better reflect the situation.

Please read through this update carefully and refer back to it whenever you need to! You can also always ask Clerk ‘Zagadka’ or Head of Security Hannah ‘Kittiefixie’ at the meetings or through a message or mail outside of meeting hours.

If you work with the Council of Truth or attend the Council of Truth meetings, feel free to pass this information on to others who might need it. It’s always wise to keep an eye out when attending the meetings.

UPDATE:

After much work, we have finally made the doors work properly again, and the key card machine is back up and running, which will let us lock the doors during the meetings once they start. This will let us better protect attendees and guests of the Council, and let us keep better track ow who is coming and going. The cards supplied will let regulars enter easier, and let security take better care of unfamiliar faces. Because of this, the coming meetings will require some new procedures.

If you are a known regular of the Council meetings:

  1. If you work at the Tower, you should be getting your card by your immediate superior.

  2. If you are a known regular and you haven’t gotten a card yet, please come up to Head of Security, Hannah Katsulas, at the entrance to the tower and she will let you have one.

  3. After you’ve received your own key card, you’ll be able to enter future meetings without having to go through the security check, freeing up valuable resources.

If you are unknown to the Council meetings but wish to attend:

  1. Please arrive in good time before the meeting: at least ten minutes before the scheduled start is a good rule, but up to twenty minutes before would be appreciated.

  2. If there are other attendees waiting to get in, please take your place in the queue and await your turn to be questioned by the Security.

  3. When it’s your turn, Security will ask you some questions. Please answer them truthfully. Expect to be asked what your name is, and other questions to help establish whether or not you should have a key. Don’t worry! The Council is very welcoming, and if you cooperate there will probably be no issues! We’re here to help you and keep the meetings safe for attendees such as you!

  4. After you’ve been cleared by Security and you’ve gotten your key card, please head into the Tower and find your way to the meeting chamber. Don’t linger outside the door: this makes it harder to manage queues and keep track of who has been cleared and who has not been! If you’re there with a group of friends, you are free to talk once you’re all inside: there’s even a cosy sitting area right outside the main meeting chamber where you can chat until the meeting starts.

  5. If there is a reason to deny you entry, the Security will let you know on what grounds you’ve been denied. If you have been denied entry, you are welcome to contact Head of Security Hannah Katsulas about it after the meeting to help you sort any concerns out before the next meeting if it’s too busy to sort it out on the spot.

  6. After you’ve found the meeting chamber, please sit down in the gallery at least when the meeting starts. Don’t linger in corridors or near the inexplicable death trap water moat. This is because of security reasons in case there needs to be a quick evacuation or another incident. If you fall into the inexplicable death trap water moat, call for help if you risk drowning. If you’re able to swim, there is emergency stairs available to get out of there, but the steps are usually very slippery so be careful not to fall back in and injure yourself on the way. The Council of Truth are not liable for any injuries that might occur if you fall into the water. Be careful around the water.

  7. Please don’t try to mess with Commander Silverstone if he’s attending. Don’t. Don’t do it. Try to keep at least five feet distance to him at all times, and don’t annoy him just because it seems like a good idea at the time, because it’s not. You have been warned.

  8. If you have any comment or question during the meeting, raise your hand to let the Clerk know and he’ll call your name when it’s your turn to speak. Please keep the meeting orderly and easier to transcribe by not speaking out of order.

  9. When the meeting has ended, please leave as soon as possible unless you have something to discuss with someone in particular working at the Tower. After the meetings there has to be a security sweep to make sure no one has gotten lost or fallen into the water, so it helps a lot if you don’t linger!

If you are an invited guest of the Council meetings:

  1. When you are formally invited, you will hopefully receive a key card with your invitation. In case you don’t, please show your invitation for the Head of Security and you’ll get one on location.

  2. In case you think you’ll require an escort to and from the meeting, please inform Security about it as far in advance as you are able.

  3. If you are just there for one meeting, please return your key either as you leave, or when you have been escorted home or to a safe place.

Note about all the above:

The Council of Truth keeps the right to withdraw your key access at any time in case you’re acting in bad faith or abuse your privileges.

Some of the meetings might not be available to neutral parties in case sensitive topics will be discussed at them.
