Game mode: Single/Co-Op Online

I have been playing single/co-op with a friend. He is hosting the game on his end. About three or four times a session, the terrian resources will just stop rendering. I see nothing but animals, camps, and dirt. The trees, rocks, shrubs, and all other environment will disappear for me.
It is to be noted that the resources do not disappear for the host. As soon as the host strikes a resource with a tool, it will appear on my screen as visible. I cannot interact with it when it appears in this manner.
I have not found a way to fix this. Exiting from the game and rejoining will fix it temporarily. This is really dampening game play for us. Hope it can be fixed.
