Is D11 Crevice upper hole (fourth entrance) gone?

I was just scouting around to find out blocked Crevice on official server. I also wanted to check if the hidden upper hole entrance is overbuilt as well, because some players forget to do so.

I was climbing around for a good half hour and couldn’t find the crack leading into the cave. I tried to switch on to singleplayer just to check it out from inside the cave so I climb in from inside and see where the crack is, but the pathway up seems to be sealed by feature rock now. There literally is nowhere to crouch and check another way up.

Could someone check it and confirm please? Or tell me I am silly and looking in wrong places. :smiley: I am looking right behind the entrance from the Bjornar’s Stand, from my look maybe 2-3 meters up from the entrance.

My look from the highest point I can climb to - there is only darkness and something featured preventing me to continue climbing.

Yeah i confirm it, i also realized it just 3 day ago, they closed the secret third entry/exit that most people were ignoring…

they changed and modified some spots on map that where legit, as in exemple the little cave under stair at southern aqueduc f7 where there is now a invisible bareer that do not allow to go in this little cave under stair.

so i have no idea of what they do…knowing the number of glitch point on map, and all the spots that allow to build under…

but no they modify stuffs that are normal, reducing the gameplay possible with normal legit spot that are here since the game was release…

what happens at FC ? @community and what are the reason for closing the third entry of crevice ? and put a bareer not allowing to go under the stair at southern aquaduct. you don’t think it will be better to focus on spot under where you can build ?

Thanks a lot for your reply! I was literally just thinking if it is me not being able to find it, and also other people who build in that area have it already blocked, so they wouldn’t notice at all.

If something, stuff like this should be included in patch notes, if nothing else. Area and terrain changes like this SHOULD be announced. :roll_eyes:

yeah dont worry was the same for me when i discovered it, i had to launch a solo session to check the map point in god admin as it was impossible for me to think to a map modification here… so thought i was looking at wrong spot, but sadly nah… was the good spot, closed…

Exactly what I did after being unsucccesfull in online game where it was already blocked, wanted to check it from inside. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: This is bad call really, if it is puzzling for multiple players.

They closed it because people are using it place to build undermesh in the little corner same about the aqueduc and the wolf cave.

They are working in closing and blocking the undermesh bases.

Can you please tell me where did you find out this info? I tried to google it to find out more about this change, but no success so far.

The devs have mentioned a few times about working on fixing undermesh areas, and areas that erroneously kill people (related to undermeshing). I would expect this is the same.

From my experience with other games, sometimes things like this aren’t included patch notes to not divulge too much information about exploit methods. Same with why a lot of games don’t give much feedback if you file a successful report against a cheater, that information can be valuable for exploiters/cheaters to figure out how to work around dev action

That makes sense. Of course when releasing info about such things could/would do more harm than good, then it should stay unspoken, only for players to find out themselves that something has changed.

It’s probably about specific locations which are not mentioned for a good reason, but then again: Exploiter who finds out he lost this spot will go and look for another one. So I both get it and don’t get it. :thinking: It would just be another trial-error method for them to try to build there and finding out it’s not working anymore, so they move elsewhere.

wolf cave i agree with you as it was a buildable zone under,

but nope i have never saw in 7 years any undermesh base in those two spots
and i dont see the link of closing the exit with anti undermesh measure…

neither with the aqueduct under stair wtih a barreer that cover a very little zone
with the bottom still accessible from undermesh but that have never been buildable under (on aqueduct the mest spot is to more to the north but not here). but now yeah what was a legit spot on aqueduct can become a buildable zone protected by bareer (while in past it was raidable and accessible by legit way) but still i found and see some undermesh base in lot of spots in map, especially in jungle, where some buildable spots under that i reported for years are still buildable.

Did we ever get confirmation that the Mounds Crevice is a legit base location or does it block POI and therefore enforceable for TOC?

let’s say if the mounds crevice is not a buildable zone on pvp server, i think it better to uninstall the game.

but i can tell you that i have a base here on an official server for somethink like 6 years, and i have always saw on all servers this spot build. but i don’t cover the whole moutain :slight_smile:

I’m actually sad about the chimney closure. I liked that and built a small house up there with some mountain climbing gear and such to give someone that knows the ways something nice for the knowledge.

It is against the rules, because building there means blocking an important go-through which has 3 ways which easen moving around and getting to the Mounds, which are blocked by huge and wide mountain.

If it is blocked by some player, it means more effort for others who has to go all the way around this obstacle to get somewhere.

I don’t remember how exactly is this stated in TOC, but blocking pathways just is against the rules.

But the two main entrances are on the same side (as in the main cave is just a big C shape). You have to climb up to get through the mountain which at that point would be almost as easy to either go around or climb up to the other pass through.

Theres 3 in the aqueduct where you enter using sleepbag 1 in the north in the last part there 1 hole in the wall , 1 in the stairs in the mid again using sleepbag again and the last one in the south using drawbridge.

Also in the spider cave theres many others.

In the d11 you enter in the mesh using drawbridge again in the side of the spirit trebuchet ilusion a little to north near the new blocked way.

Try use single player with adm and ghost mode you will might find it.

And yes the jungle is full of mesh places where people still can build.

They need to remove it stupid rule from the game if you can take another way , if you can climb or use spells to pass it isnt blocking the way the rules in it game are very old and useless in most cases they just work to ban new players and make they quit.
