Issues in single player that I've found so far

Thanks for the reply, Heaven, and I agree with most of what you posted. Unfortunately, you missed my point. Most of us support bug posting and test/report findings, all in support of the game we play.

If you return to the referenced post, I was addressing the only phrase the individual has ever posted. It in no way helps any part of the process. While I usually just skip over general griping about releases and concentrate on valid reports, something compelled me to respond to this one. I was not objecting to the issue at all and do not dismiss any valid bug reports. Dev bashing and general complaining are a different story.

From your experience in QA, surely you know there is a delay between QA and release. You also know that there are deadlines. The two never align perfectly, sorry. There was an interim release on testlive that addressed the most critical bugs reported, thus improving (but not perfecting) going live. If shooting for perfection with this release were the goal, we might see it this year, but I seriously doubt it.

In hindsight, I regret including the third paragraph, which was probably the one that sparked your response. The prioritization of work is an internal function of Funcom and not something that is up to me. Apologies.

Having around 3 times your hours in the game (and still enjoying it), but not your QA expertise, I default to management mode. Allocation of resources is one of the keys to success, especially if the workforce is too limited. Again, not my call, but were I the one consolidating the posts and bringing real issues to the team, that one would never see the light of day.

I also share your opinion of the remaining bugs, but then don’t pay $14.99US a month to play. It’s a tradeoff to me. SWTOR was fun to play with two accounts for several years, but even then, there were bugs that remained for years.

As far as the 3 things you reported not having been fixed, I am sorry. Of the several I reported, none were repaired, but they are on the list and it won’t stop me from testing, I rather consider it fun. Getting in early on testlive now makes it possible for corrections to be made pre-release; a huge plus in my opinion.

I chose to respond to you because you show a real affinity for the game and want it to improve, but not for the griping. It serves no purpose and does more to drive people away from the game, something neither of us want.

I sincerely wish you would reconsider testlive; your experience and obvious intelligence would be an asset and potentially have a very positive impact on the game.

Regards, and respect
