Javelin Request

Could we have an option to disable throwing of Javelins when the stack size is one? I really enjoy the combat style but misclicking and throwing the thing happens way too frequently. It would be also be nice if we could add weapon kits to Javelins. I don’t understand why we can’t.

I don’t believe we can put weapons kits on any stackable weapons .Haven’t used enough to be sure.

I think we can’t use kit on stackable weapons for the same reasons we can’t dismantle them : too easily abusable and open to exploit.

They could work as arrows. I play a lot with javelin in Siptah, you get a lot in the serpent dungeon and they are really funny. You can go in this dungeon and almost finish it without using your weapons :joy::joy::joy:. So what I suggest here is put on the wheel - bar of choice just one and the every time you throw one to be removed from your inventory, this would be very handy. Yet It would be a disaster on pvp. So I guess nothing will happen :wink:

I’d love to see javelins improved, or a single handed spear added.

Pikes and other long spears have their uses, but the classic spear and shield served great warriors from Greeks and Romans to Zulu and remained a principal weapon of war into and past the Viking age

Due to the way the game interms of stack along with
Durability and kit would require extra work and coding and they would have to redo the way stacking works but it would probably effect others depending on how the do it and I’m also a javelin man

Coding limitation. I experimented with bypassing the implemented block (made by Funcom) just to see what would happen if you COULD mod a Javelin. Didn’t take me long to see why it was there (lots of bad things).

So with how the system is designed as I type this, it would need significant changes to support mod kits and other things Javelins don’t get but other weapons do (changes I support, I am the author of Javelin Improved after all). Just would need to be higher priority, and throwing weapons just don’t have that currently. Maybe someday, I hope.

As for your suggestion, ya there’s a few things they could probably do within the boundaries of the existing code. It would need to be done in a way that is player friendly and easy to understand, and I’m not entirely convinced just by having one in the inventory would support that. But, it’s certainly an idea.
