When do we get the Journey step " Recruit a unique thrall"? When knocking Thrall down, when we put him/her in the Wheel of Pain or when we take broken Thrall into our inventory? I’ve got Oisun the Smith but no Journey step for her. I wonder if it’s the bug of one of the mods or the game itself. Switching mods off and taking her into my inventory from crafting station was of no use.
You need to place him down in the world for it to trigger.
So it does not work for crafter Thralls, only fighters, archers, dancers or bearers.
Greater Pets do count too.
