If i start a new single player game will the character in my current single player game be deleted?

Yes and no. If you start a new SP game on the same map, it’ll replace the old SP game. But if you start a new game on the other map, it won’t replace any preceding game.
Of course you need Siptah Island for that.
If you want to start the game with the same charactet and own Siptah, copy the character to Siptah (you need to have one character there that will be replaced), start a new game and then copy the character to the Exiled Lands. It will have the same appearance, inventory and stats.
If you play on PC, you can rename the gamedb so you can swap between them.
Or even better, just use Bugle and it can do it for you much easier.

Nope. Nothing of the sort on console. You can’t touch any file. There’s no way to access them. The only thing you can do is delete saves and settings files or upload and download from the cloud.
Yeah, that’s kind of what I assumed but good to have clarification.
