The Katana fourth heavy doesn’t do anymore damage than the first heavy. The fix today now correctly lets the heavy attacks continue or start the combo chain, however the way the Katana has always worked is Just heavy attacking does base damage. Light attack and then heavy does a little more, so on and so forth. Three light attacks and then heavy would deal the most (Not counting charging the heavy) Currently the heavy attack in LLLH does just as much damage as just H
This 100% True, can’t even pvp with katana’s at all, all the katana i delved are freaking useless now. Good Job Funcom, try and give Katana some quality love.
We are aware of this and currently in the process of investigating the issue. Please keep an eye out on our future updates as we are always working on improving Conan Exiles.
Thank you for the response! Could you perhaps tell us if what our fellow community member from a previous thread was let known to the devs and if they have tried it?
Some device have issues with post and post edit as mine does which might explain why but can’t promise that’s the cause try again later Incase it’s a forum issue
There may be a connection between thrall and katana combo issues. Since they already announced to address thralls (who concern every player) in 2.4, I don’t expect katana combos to be working any earlier.
Hmm I don’t think so, Then again I’m no game designer or programmer or anything so this is speculative and opinionated, though educated to some degree, I believe that its very unlikely, and would be a big shame to have to wait for 2.4 that would most likely be 2 months from now if we’re being realistic, whereas another hotfix would be hopefully much sooner.
Good attempt, but no, there isn’t a connection there (I’m familiar with how both are set up, though the thrall one is more complicated as a fix).
As for dread swoops response, Funcom isn’t interested in ninja putting things in and hoping people don’t notice. Always, always, just report what you see if it’s not in the patch notes. If it somehow didn’t get put into the notes but was an intended change (which happens sometimes, it happened recently) , it’ll get corrected. If it’s not an intended change, then it’ll be logged as a bug.
Nothing in today’s patch notes on Katana bugs, but holding out hope. As I posted in the original thread, without the multi-hit combo, Katana don’t really have a solid niche in the game, and become strictly an inferior choice to using any other two handed weapon or even a one handed sword…
