Is it true that the game is leaving game pass at the eom?
Yes, it’s showing as leaving on Dec 1st on my Game Pass client, alongside a fair few other titles
This one is curious, what does that mean for players who have access to the game thru Game Pass?
Will they no longer be able to update?
Will they no longer be able to play?
Or will it just prevent those who didn’t already claim and download it from gaining it without purchasing it in the standard way?
AFAIK, a game being removed from game pass renders it unplayable. The game goes on a 20% off sale before being removed from game pass too.
If a game pass customer purchases the game, they’ll just carry on like they did before. If not, I don’t think they can open the game until either they buy it, or it’s re-added to game pass
what is EOM?
when have this being anoccound?
In this instance it appears to mean end of month.
thx
Poor timing and order of things if true. Performance issues don’t get fixed, the game is in a painful spot and before fixing anything truly meaningful they pull away access to a broader public, well after people experienced the subpar state of the game and a very sloppy content release that got hyped up.
I am guessing very few people will be buying the game for a good while after the game gets pulled, if there is no significant discount.
Gratitude.
$10 cheaper on Steam than on Microsoft Store. And frequently goes on sale for much less. Steam also pushes updates to everyone at the same time when a patch hits rather than rolling them out in phases.
End of the Month
Amazing how Reddit is more up to date than the official forum
Yeah about that sale, they are looking to milk us for full price since many of us have vast amounts of time invested on our console builds. Black Friday sales are currently running on XBox and this one isn’t on the list as of this posting. I am seriously debating whether or not to purchase it or throw my kingdoms into the sea out of spite. FC needs small wins to keep customers. Not having it on sale as it is being removed from the overpriced gamepass during Black Friday sales is icing on top of all the other issues we’ve had. The Crafters Union Strike/Walkout, Barkeeper Abductions, The Great Thrall Extinction Event, Age of Debt, The Nemedian Foundation Disaster, The Floor Monster, Lazy Combat Thrall Association, Bazaar Math, and many more… I play on PC (6k+ hrs) and console as I really like the game but perhaps its time to step away. At least until Dune flops and they put people back on CE to save the cash cow. Kinda sad seeing something I enjoy ran by a bunch of corpo slugs, such is life.
Edit: I saw the Reddit post about a sale, fluff and pomp until it actually happens.
Technically it hasn’t left yet (nov 30 is the end) and so a massive sale next week would provide the pathway to economically keep your stuff.
Quick question though. If I have both PS and Xbox systems, what would transfer over if I bought the base game from Xbox? What it only be the ancestral knowledges or are those affected similarly to DLCs (which I totally disagree with here in that all purchases of add-ons on the game should be transferable if you got the base game for that system)
Its 50 dollars on xbox store, lol I just bought a used copy on ebay for 10
But what is it next week. The reddit post was not even 24 hours and so when they say next week from that, it means the week starting on the 25th.
Nothing transfers except…
If you link your twitch account you may be able to access claimed twitch drops.
A source of personal consternation as well that effectively locks people into the platform they purchased on (and subsequent iterations thereof) or lose all the premium content.
If you don’t own it on Gamepass the game becomes unable to be used unless you either purchase it digitally or get hold of a physical copy. (You’ll be met with a popup error) If you bought crap on the bazaar and / or dlc packs without purchasing the main game because it was on Gamepass? Tough. The same rules apply. You can still claim Twitch items for it as Twitch doesn’t require you to play it. Xbox Game Pass loses nine more games in November 2024
