So I constantly see issues around the updating of Conan Exiles through the Xbox Game pass, or lack thereof.
Having to re-download near 100gb is just not feasible, I myself am on a DL Limit and its just getting unfair to constantly download this game time and again.
I posted a question to the MS community forums and the response claims that:
'The files are only hosted on the Microsoft server, the developer is the one who programs it, and there is probably an error, the app only configures the path of the functions, the game needs to be documented as requested by Microsoft, I advise you to contact the developer of Conan Exile. ’
Was hoping to get some kind of feedback on this response. As having to pay for a Xbox sub to play this, among other games, and not have a working check for updates button, to constantly needing to delete and redownload is getting frustrating.
It’s a complete joke, the steam version was updated Thursday or Friday I believe, and the game pass version is still behind.
I play on steam and run a private server and half the players can’t connect and have to wait as they’re playing from the game pass, it’s ridiculous and I haven’t seen anyone get any feedback from funcom on a solution or even just to acknowledge that there is a problem.
It really is bad, I have to deal with a download limit and since the game is 90gb its not a light download. Combined with Aussie net and terrible prices its just draining.
I feel like the sentiment is blame Microsoft, but if funcom wont issue response, or just haven’t to date that im aware of, is it them?
Is steam getting preferred treatment because the game is paid for, while I use a pass to access the game?
I only just got into the game a few months ago with the mates and this has already happen multiple times.
No, it’s the same if you paid for the game via Microsoft Store. But you are at the wrong forum: The Xbox Console gets updates as quick as Playstation or Steam. “XBox” on PC is not working so you might start another thread at the PC-Discussion Area. Please do, there are several threads already maybe if enough people complain… … … …probably nothing will happen anyway because this issue exists quite long.
