Legendary repair kit?

, ,

Does it still exist the ability to repair them? I know it’s gone but if thralls from surge can make the kit or repair it would be a time saver for my favorites, perfectly fine hunting them again anyway but figured to ask.

Edit: spelling errors.

no, it’s gone entirely. pretty sure the actual item ID for the old legendary repair kits is used by the grandmaster kit now, so even if players squirreled away the old kits in a chest they would have been replaced by the new ones.
it was argued about quite a bit back when it changed, mostly against, but like much of the new stuff, the devs have a direction they are taking the game in and player feedback mostly goes on deaf ears, for better or worse.

Would have rather the idea that the legendary repair kits become so rare that they are the mosf valued thing in game, at least this way I wouldn’t have to go across the map everytime or increase the durability by 15-20% more, eventually I will figure out the new teleportation system and just make a ones near my favorites.

No. Just no. Enough with the slot machine gameplay. RNG-gating is not a good way to make things valuable.

Yeah, it’s shіtty that they made legendaries impossible to repair. But it’s frustrating enough to have to grind to get the legendary you want, there’s no need to compound that frustration by having to grind for the repair kits.

Since they made legendaries unrepairable, the kits are piling up in some chest. Haven’t used one since, sadly.
Another item rendered next to useless thanks to gameplay changes (yes, looking at you, chitin)

You can still use repair kits to repair non-legendary, non-unique items you intend to use as illusions. They need to be fully repaired, but they don’t need to have their original full durability, so losing durability due to the repair kit doesn’t matter in this case.

Or you can repair some tools looted from chests which you don’t know yet. I’ve looted an Acheronian pike early in the game (some Sepermeru chest), got some “tier 3” repair kits from other chests. Now I’m lvl 50 and this pike is still alive
